Who's it gonna be that's gonna rack up the stats on our D?

I wanna say Timmons, but I'm gonna go with Woodley on the sacks.

And Keisel on the QB pressures.

Woodley (if healthy) will lead in sacks because Harrison will get most of the attention and we have a new dimension blitzing on the inside in Timmons. Both Woodley and Harrison will have double digit sack totals and Timmons will be close to double digits.

On the DL Kiesel will lead again for pressures.

If the NFL begins to call the holding as they say they will be doing then Harrison may break the record this year without a quarterback falling down on purpose to give the record. He will be unstoppable unless they chip with a tight end every play.

Harrison > Woodley > Timmons

All three may be in double digits this year.

With the Zigmeister being mixed in the otation, I'm not sure Kiesel will have the same number of opportunities to almost take down the quarterback. You gotta think that Woodley's line of progression is still climbing sharply upwards, so to me he is the easy choice for sack leader. Plus, he's taking on right tackles who are primarily the road graders and not elite pass protectors.

I too believe that both Woodley and Harrison will reach double digit numbers and Timmons could get there as well. Nice situation when we have such so many players to choose from.

I think Ben Roethlisberger will have the most sacks this season.

i think the bigger question will be can the defense be as good or better than last season. i dont think any defense could be better than they were last season, but as far as personel i think they have more depth this up coming season except for mlb, but they do have more depth at cb then last season. i think harrison will lead the team in sacks again woodley coming in second only by a few sacks. i also think a.smith will have the most pressures

we will be better this year... because our opponents aren't as good. We may actually see the best Defense ever in football this year due to our schedule..

I have to disagree. The defense played lights out last year because they had to. Practically every game was a street fight mainly because our opponents were so good. This year I think the offense will assert its will on opponents more often (not just in the 4th quarter) and we will have more blow-outs which lets the D ease up. Stat wise I don't think they will match up to last year. Now that doesn't mean they won't be better --- just that they won't have to play with that intensity for 60 minutes every game. I think you'll see them go for more splash plays when we are up by 21 and get burned by it at times. JMHO
