I don't care if Hines, Ben, Troy or any Steeler is cheating on their wives or girlfriends. I root for them on Sundays for what they do on the field, not for what they do off of it.
As long as what they are doing off the field doesn't affect what happens on it? I don't give a ****. I guess i'm older now and don't worship professional athletes like I did when I was younger. I take them for what they are, flawed people who get payed a lot of money to play a game. Should anyone be surprised that athletes swing toward the immature side?

I tend to share your sentiment on this Chavezz, but when "hero, legend, amazing husband and father" are being thrown around at Mcnair's funeral when he was banging at least one 20 year old on the side, I tend to give the old
Maybe you do as well.
Dude was a heck of a QB, and a rare athlete for sure. But the heaping praise of being such a grand family man (like Gov. Sanford and all the rest of the turds) is more than tiresome.
I call it as I see it... Mcnair's inablility to keep his johnson corralled cost his kids their father. Not sure how that equates "Hero". He should have been dumped in a pine box in a private ceremony, and his actions off the field should not label him a legend, but as an embarrassment to his family.

I remember being so naive when I was in my early 20's. I knew a girl who used see Bill Walton when he played for the Celtics when he was married to his 1st wife. I also knew another that used to see the Drummer from Tesla when he was in town touring who was also married. Crap, forget about public figures it happens in work all the time and even with friends. It felt like the time I discovered that there is no Easter Bunny.
My point is that I am not defending this type of action but I will not judge it either. I live by the simple philosophy of "if you respect me then I respect you" regardless of what your values are. That doesnt mean that we would be tight chums also.

Say it ain't so!!!
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
