Some news on our old pal Sean Mahan.
More Cap Room For The Bucs

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who already have more cap room than Abe Lincoln with a shaved head, have freed up another $1.4 million in 2009 salary space.
According to Pewter Report, center/guard Sean Mahan has reduced his base salary from $3 million to $1.6 million, under an apparently “take-a-pay-cut-or-take-a-hike” ultimatum.
Mahan started his career with the Bucs, but signed in 2007 with the Steelers. He was traded back to Tampa in 2008, with the Bucs inheriting the final five years of his contract.
He’s scheduled to earn base salaries of $2.08 million in 2010 and $2.56 million in 2011.
