Let's hope he isn't stupid enough to repeat the action that got him in trouble in the first place.

Sorry but I don't like this. It seemed pretty cut and dried that he was guilty of possession and he should face the consequences like anybody else. Isn't this the 3rd time he has had criminal charges dropped (the girl friend incident, the bogus charge in Florida, and now this is what I remember). As much as I like Holmes as a player I think he skates free too often in his personal life.
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

      but Go Steelers!!!

I would assume he cut some kind of deal.

200 hours of community service. Or 1500 yards and 17 TDs. I'd overlook a tiny bit o' pot for that season.

On a side note, and obviously a total coincidence, an extra Super Bowl ring was created with the name "Polchinski" (which ironically happens to be the Judge's last name that dropped the case) and the number 00.

i know where your coming from it would be nice if he could get a wake up call and realize he cant eff around but it would have been such a minor penalty so i dont think he would of cared had he been found guilty. hopefully sitting out a big game like the giants game last season was his wake up call.

Prosecutors dropped marijuana possession charges against Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes this morning after deciding there was not probable cause for the traffic stop that led to the charges.

Yeah, if they pulled him over for speeding or running a red light or whatever, that would be one thing, but the only reason that they pulled him over was because he happened to be driving the same truck in the same color that police were looking for in a separate crime ring investigation. Since the only reason the cop was talking to him in the first place was because of mistaken vehicle identity, there was no reason to search the car for blunts. That's the way the legal system is set up...it's not giving him preferential treatment because he is a local celebrity.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Probable cause is a dumb law? Wow. No need for warrants anymore! Woo hoo!!!

I think I read recently that since he got pulled over the Supreme Court has changed the law so they can now pull you over for no cause, as part of a "trap". So I guess it works like you go around a curve and they're stopping all the cars that go through and looking for DUI or drugs or something.

Anyone else remember hearing about this?

Anyway, I'm HAPPPPPY that there's no chance we lose him for this offense. If he F's up again, I guess he'll be known as PJ - Plexiglass Junior.
