Here come the steroid sqwaukers. My dad had several strokes and triple bypass surgery at the age of 58 due to smoking. Had he played for the Steelers as the punter in the 70's he would be accused of using Steroids.

I thought the same thing.

More and more studies are showing that NFL players are becoming ill and dying at a younger age due to powerful and repeated head trauma. Banging heads constantly is eventually going to take a toll. Especially on the pro level. And the helmets those guys had were crap too.

I hate to hear this. I believe he is currently a football coach at a small college somewhere in PA.

I hope he gets well soon.
