    Baker, Legursky, Lewis, Logan, Washington, Woods and Vasquez and UDFA's are moved to the PS

    Looks pretty good to me.....I would go into next season with this team!! I think the only weak spot is the WR position but if the team can bring in a receiver like Ronald Curry or Drew Bennett to fill that 4th WR role then they are pretty much set. The draft would bring youth and competition to both sides of the line and a CB to compete with Gay and Townsend for the starting role opposite Ike. I would have liked to have brought in a FS to groom just in case we lose Clark next year but you can't address all needs in one draft.

    Alright let me hear some opinions and perspectives. Look forward to the input.

    But, but..... there's no Alex Mack there for us.... I see he went early with the Bills, but that just can't happen......

    Kidding aside..... It's not bad, but I must admit- I don't know much about Byrd as a CB. We do need another CB.

    You do have 3 OL in there and there isn't enough room for all 3 of them on the roster. But you never know until camp starts. They do know quite a bit about the boy from York. So, maybe......Then again, a swap of Beatty and Ayers on that list might be in order too.

      You obviously put a lot of work into your mock, but if the Steelers have Beatty and Byrd to show for the first two rounds, I think I might cry. I'm just not sold on Beatty at all.

        I totally agree. Beatty and Byrd would cause me to get ulcers. Much better players will be available. Count me in the group that isn't sold on Beatty. I also don't think we need to look CB until Round 3 at the earliest.

        I'd rather see interior line and DL in Rounds 1 and 2. If history is any indicator don't be surprised if Colbert grabs a WR in Round 1 and 2. He goes after skill positions early. It will be funny to hear all the "experts" on this board go absolutely insane if that happens.

            I think I could live with that, but not sure if Beatty is going to be BPA.
            I think I would consider Ayers or Butler at that spot as well, but I am not a professional scout.

              Good effort, I just don't agree with it...too many poor fits or back-ups here.
              1. Beatty = Too finesse
              2. Byrd = Nice player, but slow & there's better value in later rounds ( Martin & Mickens)
              3. Taylor = He'd be a better value in 4th & I think they like Baker (Hampton) & Walker (GT) better.
              4. Shipley = Too short...in height & arms to handle the point...stop the love-affair.
              5a. Francois = DND...has "bust" written all over him.
              5b. Vasquez = I like the pick...Kemo part 2.
              6. Hartline = Another poor fit...if you're going to take a WR, take one with promise like Eron Riley (Duke) or Dominique Edison (SFA).
              7a. Summers = I like the pick, I just think he'd be gone at this point.
              7b. Washington = He'll be gone way before this because of his workout numbers, but if you go CB here...then why not Burnett, Carey or Lankster - all who visited the Steelers?
              It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust & sweat & blood...

                Nice Mock Draft.

                I think we can get Jarius Byrd or Micken in Rd 3-4. Steelers can use Rd 2 on Fili Moala or Phil Loadholt.

                We need to draft a OG a bit early than Rd 5.

                I am not sold on Beatty. I would prefer Fenuki Tupou or Loadholt in later rounds.

                        You are correct about the Browns and Bengals trades!!! I actually meant a 2nd and 4th for Ocho in '09!!! I realize that I gave up too much for Denver to move up to 8 but I think once we get to that point they will be desperate and will need to make a move that doesn't go by the points....teams do it all the time.
