FWP on Total Access - weird

I noticed this when I first saw the interview a few weeks ago. Long story short, Rod asks Willie about the final touchdown play to Santonio. Willie is talking like he was on the field. He even says he was the first read. But it wasn't him. Mewelde was on the field. Not a big deal. Just weird.

If the link doesn't work. Go to NFL.com - videos - Steelers. Its called "Reliving the moment."

I remember the same interview but never realized Willie wasn't on the field. Are you sure it wasn't a two back set? If not, maybe he was actually referencing his normal position being the first read of the play that was called. You're right armpit...very weird.

I watched the play a few times last night before posting and I don't see FWP anywhere on the field. And I thought the same thing - about him just referencing his normal position - but the way they are all talking, it doesn't seem that way.

I guess maybe I just don't know how to respond to it. I'm really not sure what FWP is talking about? Kinda confusing!

It kinda reminds me of the '95 AFCCG against the Colts. Jim Gray asked Neil O'Donnell "What did you say to Bam Morris before that last touchdown?"

Neil responds "I told him to get his big butt in there."

Then Gray goes and asks Bam about what Neil had said to him before the play and Bam says "He didn't say a word to me, he just called the play and I did my job."

I don't know why I thought of that when hearing what FWP said but it just kinda struck me in the same way!

          Anyone else remember that?

Try this one at :46. Difficult but I think it is FWP in the right flat.

At :46 Rod is still talking and they haven't gone to the replay yet. Was :46 a typo?

Another thing to look at is that Mewelde is the first guy to congratulate Santonio in the endzone. If FWP were on the field, it would have been him.

I haven't looked at it yet, but I'm thinking maybe it was Willie on the previous failed play to the other side???

I don't remember that exact interview. But that confusion is much easier to explain. Neil was a moron and Bam was probably high as a kite

Moore in the backfield, Holmes, Ward, Washington, Heath are the receivers. There is no Parker on the field.
