    NFL Free Agent Visits

BMAc might visit with the Cards...ha...join the losers...see ya.

With that in mind, here are some early developments on Day One of free agency:

Ravens to host Foxworth: No position has demanded as much attention - and money - as cornerback. Now Baltimore is poised to make a move on one. The Ravens are hosting a visit with Atlanta free-agent cornerback Dominique Foxworth, who played at the University of Maryland. The Ravens are serious about signing Foxworth and a deal could be completed today.

Plan B for Bills:With Buffalo losing out to New England for the services of running back Fred Taylor, the Bills could turn to former Lions and Bears free-agent running back Kevin Jones, who has drawn interest from the Bills, Jets, Rams and Buccaneers.

Buffalo is keeping busy at other positions as well. On Thursday, Buffalo hosted a visit from former San Diego and Jacksonville cornerback Drayton Florence, who also is considering a return to San Diego.

And there is something about players going back to their original team. Guard Derrick Dockery, whom Buffalo released on Thursday, could return to Washington, where he still owns a home. Dockery also is thought to have drawn interest from Detroit.

Gaffney to visit Denver: Even though Denver demolished its defense after this season, the Broncos are seeking to improve their offense at the start of free agency.

Broncos coach Josh McDaniels reached out to his former Patriots wide receiver Jabar Gaffney, who is scheduled to be in Denver on Friday.

The Broncos also pursued Giants free agent running back Derrick Ward, who has received interest from Denver, the Buccaneers, Rams, Bengals and Lions.

While McDaniels reached out to one of his former players, Broncos defensive coordinator Mike Nolan did the same. Denver attempted to arrange a visit this weekend with San Francisco’s free-agent defensive tackle Ronnie Fields. St. Louis attempted to do the same.

Super dividends: Super Bowl XLIII between Pittsburgh and Arizona helped draw added attention for Steelers cornerback Bryant McFadden and Cardinals defensive end Antonio Smith. Now, each is busy fielding interest as a free agent.

Despite speculation that Detroit would pursue him, McFadden’s first visit could be to the same Cardinals team his Steelers beat in the memorable Super Bowl.

Smith, meanwhile, has received recent calls and offers to visit the Buccaneers, Giants, Eagles, Texans and Falcons. He now is in the process of prioritizing those teams, at which point he would be expected to finalize an itinerary.

The Cardinals can certainly use some improved cornerback play and so do the Ravens. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Ravens take a look at Bryant. Good luck to him, I'd love to see him stick around, but, there's always a team willing to pay big for Superbowl team players.

CB Bartell (formerly of the Rams) to visit Saints. I had my eye on this guy as a potential BMac replacement.

Bart Scott praises Jets staff...no visit yet..but appears he has a yearning to play for Ryan again.

Houshmazilly targets Seahawks, Giants, Eagles and Vikings as teams he likes. Palmer is lobbying for him to stay and the latest is he could still resign with the Bungles.

RB Correll Buckhalter and S Renaldo Hill meeting with Broncos as well. They seem to be bringing in every Free Agent on the market.

Titans have made contact with DT Chris Canty formerly of the Cowboys.

Wow the Ravens exodus is amazing.

CB Corey Ivy also visiting the Jets, just as LB Bart Scott has apparently already agreed to a deal. (Per Adam Schefter, NFL.com)

Fox Sports reports that Houshmazilly is visiting Seahawks and really likes the prospect of playing there. He went to school in the Northwest so maybe he gets the heck out of the AFC...

Also they report that Nate Washington will visit the Lions officially today.

from rotoworld focusing on the Steelers:

Free agent CB Bryant McFadden is "leaning toward" signing with the Lions, according to SI.com's Peter King.
McFadden instantly would become Detroit's top corner, not that it's saying much. It's interesting to note that Leigh Bodden hasn't generated known interest.

The Steelers have a deal paying $4 million a year on the table for free agent OG Chris Kemoeatu.
The Jets are their only known competition for Kemoeatu, who is coming off his first year as a starter. He'll check out their bid before taking his next step.

The Lions will host Nate Washington for a free agent visit on Friday.
Washington would immediately step in as a starter opposite Calvin Johnson. The Lions don't have a surefire starting QB, but they're still lining up wideout options. They'll also need to get a third receiver at some point.

Forget passing a Bills physical...Marshawn Lynch is only interested if he can pass the dutchie on the left hand side.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Samari Rolle has refused to take a pay cut from the $4.1 million he is expected to make in 2009.
The Ravens have been shopping him for a third-round pick, but nobody is biting. He's likely to be released now that Dominique Foxworth has been signed.
