Steelers = better record than Browns, Bengals, and Ravens.
Browns, Bengals, and Ravens = worse record than the Steelers.
That's more important than actual numbers at this point.
Regardless of what our final regular season record is, facing a difficult schedule but winning a division championship leaves us battle-tested for a long post-season run, the first game of which will take place at Heinz Field.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
You have to be kidding me. I could see someone cynical saying the Steelers at 8-8 but the Bengals at 11-5??? Come on.
It's not an official prediction. Just giving you a diferent look. You know how we are always surprised at something by end of year. Anything can happen.[/quote:2blux168]
Yea, of course, why would you give an "official prediction" on a thread entitled, "AFC North Predictions"?
Steelers 10-6 (I certainly wouldn't be suprised to see 9-7, but enough to win the div.)
Bengals 8-8
Browns 8-8
Ravens 7-9
It will be a frustrating up and down season, but the Steelers had better come out of the shute fast, because the middle of the sked is brutal. Colts, Chargers, Bengals, Patriots*, Cowboys, then a rough game against rival Baltimore when we will undoubtedly be banged up and reeling a bit. We had better not drop any of those games that we are expected to win, or playoffs are in doubt.
