(Mark Madden) Back by Popular Demand

I'm sort of trolling a little bit here but I think Mark Madden is spot on in his assessments of the team. He is negative to some but I think he's brutally honest.

The offense is a mess. The QBs are no better than last season. If Tomlin was smart he should be starting Frazier, Fautanu and Jones as the team isn't leaving the cellar.

Every single starter on the OL has regressed under Pat Meyer. He should be fired but Tomlin's standard is the standard.

It’s convenient to say exhibition play has no bearing on the NFL regular season. It’s even more convenient to expect a switcheroo in form from exhibition games to real ones by remembering that Kenny Pickett had a passer rating of 158.3 in the 2023 preseason, then fell apart when live

He's 100% right on the OL, if Moore can't be the swing tackle he should be cut. I'm guessing Moore was a Tomlin pick and Jones a Weidl pick.

Yeah man. I like Madden because he's direct, to the point and he's saying out loud what a lot of fans are thinking including me.

I recognize some fans dislike his style and flair for his opinion extremes. It doesn't matter if I get attacked or not I'm still going to post his comments.

I think he adds value to these forums by opening up forbidden discussions by those who think Tomlin can never be criticized because if you do you're unfairly painted as a troll.

That is why I say "sort of", because it's comical that they are trying to mute free speech on a discussion forum. I give them complainers something they so rightfully deserve for not being nice to me in the first place.

This is pretty funny actually. And sadly, true.

I'm hoping at least one of these isn't true. But I haven't seen much to the contrary yet.

Madden is a fat, ugly slob and a stupid a-hole, but that doesn't mean he's wrong about Tomlin and the Steelers. Tomlin has taken an elite team and turned it into a weekly disaster.

He is a decent NFL writer who has above average football knowledge ( for a writer ) but your description of him and his lack of charisma is spot on. And he's right on the Steelers.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***
