Jaylen Warren to miss a few weeks

    Hamstring questionable for season opener.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

This is why you need 3 competent RBs on your roster
especially if we're going to go with the run-heavy offense

Few teams have team 3 competent backs. I hope Ward ( projected #3 back ) is up for the task. We just lost our 1st or 2nd best weapon on offense for a few games.

This pre-season has been a disaster for the offense. Lame QB's , Warren is hurt, and 2 OL men are hurt. What next? Chris Boswell better get himself checked out fast because someting if off with him.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

I think people keep forgetting about Patterson, my opinion is he is the #3 RB.

I think Perine (sp) is going to win that job.

We know one thing -- if Tomlin says it's not serious, or just a boo-boo, he'll be out until November.

One of the most stupid off season suggestions.

Still wouldn't shock me if we extend him

I think Perine looked good plus he an experienced veteran.

In his limited touches I didn't think Patterson looked all that good. Slow, lacking power. Age has caught up with him. It happens.

I agree. He was brought in as a kick return specialist under new KR rules. It looks like the team is trying to find someone else instead (Plumlee mostly) and if Patterson doesn't win the KR role, there is little chance he makes the roster as the third back.

Even Tomlin knows you don't mess around with a gimpy hammy. Warren did not have a good camp, maybe this problem bothered him longer than we know?

I think this is pretty bad news.

We need a quick start this year. And the QBs don't look ready.

Get ready for a full dose of Najee early. Let's keep him in bubble wrap until week 1.

Its real bad news in terms of our 1,2 punch with Najee and Warren.

Hopefully Perine can fill that role until Warren returns.

My guess is that he'll be OK. But Warren is very good in that role, so there will be a drop off.

It probably means that Najee will get a bunch more targets until Warren gets back...I assume Perine (or whoever) will not be the pass protector that Warren is.
