Trubisky, Rudolph and Pickett Regular Group Chats

I find it very interesting and telling that Trubisky, Rudolph and Pickett chat all the time. I thought Pickett was hated universally by his former teammates?

At least that is the narrative by the fan base.

Personally I believe that those 3 bonded really well because all of them were put in a crappy offensive system and then were unfairly gaslighted by management, the coaching staff, teammates and by the fans.

I think it would be safe to conclude that those 3 don't have a good impression of their time here. Why that is, is open for discussion.

While speaking with reporters at Acrisure Stadium on Thursday, Mitch Trubisky revealed that he has a consistent three-person group chat with fellow former Steelers quarterbacks Kenny Pickett and Mason Rudolph. “I talk to them every week,” Trubisky said after his Buffalo Bills concluded a joint practice with the Steelers. “They

former teammates who play the same position remaining friends is not uncommon.

OL are the only ones who really ?like? QB?s.

WR?s.. depends on the play, lol.

and I would not be surprised if Mason comes back to coach or mentor once he retires. People swear Deebo hated Tomlin yet where is Deebo this summer? In camp helping the team.

Mason would be a great QB coach. The man has a sharp football mind. He knows his stuff even if he didn't have the talent to be a franchise signal caller.

I think fans believe players leave bitter and wont return.

I doubt Pickett and Trubisky will because their time was short.

but we see so many player leave “mad”
only to come back later because they know they will be treated like family.

Me and a friend dated the same girl. She was my girl and when we broke up he asked if I was cool if he asked her out. I said I didn’t care (she wanted marriage and I was not ready so I let her go so I had no right to deny her). She went on two dates and dumped him and wanted back with me.

Dude wants to hang out with me and and share our grief like we were both victims. So we hang out and dude wallows in his pain at a girl who saw him for a week.

THAT is what this feels like. You might be right. I would not doubt there is some bitterness. But in the end it is sad.

BTW that girl is my wife of 38 years.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher
