Camp practices are over. But there are still several unanswered questions.

    They are:

What is Russell Wislons value? He is a + starter at QB, just an average QB starter. or below average starting QB? It would have been nice to answer that question with the 12 practices at camp.

Can Cam Heyward still play at a high level? Or has he slipped due to age , wear and tear?

How will our return game look?

START the the rookies! We will be better because if it. Frazier, P Wilson, Bishop, And McCormick.

I do not think Fautanu is ready to start. That would be a disaster right now, but he has shown some good things.

    In Art Smith I trust.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

I agree on starting Frazier and Wilson. No idea of Troy is ready or healthy.

The QB situation is ridiculous. If Russ starts this season without the reps and we look bad its another fail by the FO. Its still early and most teams starting QB’s have yet to play but both are new, if its Fields then okay. Lets go.. but don’t give Fields all the reps and then throw Russ out there cold on day 1.

Frazier and Wilson are two completely different situations. On the OL you are either a starter getting close to 100% of the snaps or a backup. For Frazier, the competition is Nate Herbig who is just a basic swing IOL with little experience starting at C. Frazier should have surpassed him and been installed as the starter, and almost definitely will be by game 1.

ILB is a different position. It is a more rotational position where the backups can still get a significant number of snaps. It isn't as binary as playing OL, it is more a case of how the snaps are divided up. You currently have two starters, one is an incumbent who is a solid vet, and the other is the prized FA signing. You can give Wilson a big role on this D without designating him a starter. Actually, he may start games depending on the D personnel that starts, which would depend on the opponent. If Wilson continues to show, I can see him getting 40% of the snaps, which would keep the starters fresh and hopefully healthy throughout the year.

I agree 100%. I’m not really concerned about “starting” on defense. Its all about snap counts and hopefully Wilson gets a ton.

I think a lot of these questions are unanswered for fans but I'm sure the team has a good idea of what they are doing. The coaches see alot more reps in practice than they do in a preseason game, so I try not read too much into preseason game performance.

Nate Herbig got dinged in the last practice, meaning that fate and luck are better at assembling a depth chart than Tomlin is. Frazier will not lose the job.
