It is time to take off the training wheels for Frazier and Wilison. START BOTH player

Alex Korza did a nice film breakdown of Frazier's first preseason game. It is surprisingly good and the young writer has mixed in the right terminology. Kudos to him, he has grown as a beat writer. As stated Faizer has a high football IQ, his grip strength , lower body strength , and ability to anchor were all there on the film. Even when he lost a particular rep in his pass protection he had a 3 second clock in his head and knew when to dig in his cleats and hold his ground. Like I said he is smart, Not a great mover but one who knows where to go and can get there if you don't ask him to pull too far. He should start next week.

As impressive as this was, former Steelers linebacker Arthur Moats set the web on fire with his breakdown of Payton Wilson. Wilson is a football savant who moves like a safety a 6'4" 235 Lbs . He is sharp as a knife and athletic like a cat. He should be on the field for ALL defenses on the base, 3-4, the nickel, or the dime. Okay maybe he is not ideal as a pure 4-3 run suffer , but he is everything else. You can see why this rookie must start as he brings the open field tackling ability, the speed and quickness, good hitting abilty, the smarts to help out in coverge and can be featured in the blitz.

These two men are green dot types. Start them Tomlin and work on some new adjectives.

Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

I concur. We're crazy not to start these two and gain experience. We are not getting anywhere close to the SB so therefor it's better to get practical game reps for the young studs.

That way if we find a franchise QB we'll be better prepared for a playoff run.
