I actually think the Steelers were done with him last year when they went with Mason. And they were classy about it and never said anything publicly.

I am pretty sure they guaranteed the job to Russ and Russ seemed to know with the way he answered questions at his PC.

He the dirt slip on Pickett when he talked about the D getting turn overs and attacking the end zone when asked about throwing for 100 yards and 3 TDs against KC.

Russ is great at throwing TDs. The writing is on the wall. Ramon has been talking about KP needing to get out of Pittsburgh. The writing has been on the wall and Omar doesn?t play. He?s in sync with Tomlin who I suspect it the quiet assassin that was over constrained by Colbert.
Sounds like the locker room didn't believe in Kenny anymore either.

WRs stopped pouting when Mason started playing.

High profile D players were stumping for Wilson.

DK reported at the end of the season that it wasn't just DJ that wanted Mason (or a different QB).

It sounds like Kenny was a hard worker. Just didn't have "it".

Yeah, I was a bit surprised how quickly Dobbs fell back into mediocrity. He seems like a great, intelligent guy that's probably a really good teammate. I don't have a problem with him as a backup to come in for a game or two if QB1 gets dinged. But you can't rely on him for more than that.

We really need someone to groom as the future. I just don't see how we go through this draft without picking up a QB.

Great call WindyCitySteel -- my understanding was Chicago wasn't going to budge for anything lower than a 2nd round pick.....and at this point it shouldn't be any higher than a 4th....and as low as a 6th.

Tipping my cap your way.....now if you and Khan can just work your magic to get us the best Center in the NFL for say a 3rd round pick or less.....everyone should be most appreciative!!!

          Following up on Joshua Dobbs.

No real need to bring him in now -- as I think the Steelers should roll the dice in the Draft or UDFA for 3rd Stringer.

Keep in mind Dobbs was apart of 3 Different Teams last season.

          Browns Camp
          Cardinals
          Vikings

Dude had to learn multiple offenses and with the Vikings was running as simple a set as possible to keep them in contention.

I believe Dobbs would have been a better back-up than Trubitsky or Rudolph last season.....for good or bad -- Dobbs is like the modern Charlie Batch.
