There is speculation that happened, but honestly, does anyone think it was going to be a fair competition? Kenny's seen that NOT happen two straight years.

The ironic thing is Hurts is likely to be QB1 in PHI long after Wilson has hung up the cleats. Somebody had some short sightedness thinking this through.

I think I saw several posts on here saying that the door was open to trade him now.

I wouldn't have bet on them doing this (particularly at the return we got), but I think bringing in Wilson meant that we were giving up on Kenny.

And his value is higher now than it will be after sitting on the bench for a year.

I think this is what we'll do (but I hope we don't).

I'd rather get a journeyman and someone off the scrap heap (plus a UDFA arm for camp).

Then use the picks we have to get guys who are going to play.

Maybe Windy's dream comes true and we can flip that 3rd for Fields.

With a starter already in place (Wilson), if we could extend Fields to a reasonable number (Mitch like contract) for 2-3 years maybe that makes sense.

Wilson gets a year to rehab his image see if he has anything left in the tank.

Then Fields gets a chance to be the bridge after that.

Probably too crazy...but it doesn't seem like there's much of a market for Fields.

Basically, they gave KP to move up 22 spots from 4th round to 3rd round.

Dulac tweeted that the move was because he wasn't handling Russ's arrival well. Couple that with his refusal to dress week 17 and they're just moving on.
