Fortunately for Steeler fans, he acted like he did. He treated his new teams like trash the way he performed for the money he received.
When did I say Bell was treated like trash? He got offers and multiple guaranteed years with the Jets. I agree, he came back sloppy.

I’m talking about QB’s with better playoff records or equal performances.. players who contribute to team success who do’n’t get nearly the equivalent of pay at their positions.

Regardless of how “nice and professional” Cousins has been, he has not lived up to his contracts.. AND HE IS COMING OFF AN ACL INJURY!!!!

Russ has been professional and you aren’t a fan of him playing for us for 1.2 Mill and he has 2 SB appearances and a much better playoff record.

We had injuries but nah, Mason had a chance to make some noise and played.. ehhh, okay. His pocket awareness was terrible back then. He has improved in that department a bit but even in the Rats and Buffalo games.. we saw him getting sacked, fumbling and having passes deflected due to late releases.

Still good to see him in the league instead of selling insurance, just think he misplayed his hand and took money out of his pocket.

Mason had scrubs and bums at the skill position the year ben was hurt. They plucked a RB off of the Bears practice squad Moncrief the WR was horrible.

He also almost died against the Jets on the field, I believe his aorta was punctured. Dude had a rough year with the ravens DB cheap shot and the incident with Garret.

Never heard him complain, he was a true team player.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

DJ, Juju, Washington, Conner, and McDonald are not scrubs and bums.

They were all often injured causing the Steelers to pluck scrubs off PS rosters.

If you extrapolate Mason's pay over the game time he will likely be seeing, he's probably making the equivalent of $20 million per season

Rudolph says goodbye, he's a class act!

                rudolph2mason

For the past 6 years, it has been a privilege to be part of the Pittsburgh community and represent the Pittsburgh Steelers.

To my teammates, coaches, staff, Art Rooney, the Rooney family, Thomas Tull, Larry Paul, and the rest of the Steelers organization: Thank you for changing my life forever six years ago when you gave me the opportunity to wear the Black & Gold.

To the fans your love and passion for the team is what makes it so special to play here. I will never forget playing in front of Yinz one final time this past December. All the Best. MR.

                  Pickett's good-bye for comparison:

"Thank you, Pittsburgh! I came to this city 7 years ago and my life changed forever. Grateful for all of the amazing people I was fortunate enough to cross paths with, and for all of those who supported me along the way.

I made life-long friendships and relationships that I will always cherish. Now, I am honored and excited for the next opportunity in my career ? being able to play for the team that helped me find my love for the game as a kid. Go Birds!!"

                  See any differences??

I see a difference. Mason was here 6 years as a Steeler. Pickett was here 2 years as a Steeler and 5 years as a Pitt Panther.

Mason seems to be a really great guy and a class act. BUT... I think a guy who really believes in himself and is confident in his abilities and worth, is not going to always act with such class. A true number 1 draft pick type of player is not going to take kindly to the way the Steelers have treated Mason or Kenny. Top QBs have a little more fire and a probably a little more me-first type of attitude. I won't be shocked at all to see Kenny eventually succeed elsewhere - kinda like Baker. I also won't be shocked if he's never anything more than a backup. But I think he has that fire.

Pickett originally wrote his before the draft thinking hed play elsewhere. He pulled it from a drawer and edited a single character.

He changed the number to 7.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

                        TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Yup, he is REALY ONLY addressing Pitt fans even now . You should feel special.

Y’all are the only ones left on the Kenny bus.

He won us a championship. ACC Championship that is but I was there to witness it in-person in Charlotte.

and yes, I still think Kenny can play ball in a legit NFL offense.

Now the hope is Russ can play SB run worthy football on Smiths offense.
