But, it was coaching malpractice not to take the easy points.

What I seen in the games:
    • have to have a QB that can use the middle of the field
    • have to have a QB that can throw accurate intermediate passes
    • have to have a QB that can make quick and correct decisions
    • LJ turned to his old self because KC forced him to throw outside the hashes and he was terrible at it
    • BAL defense tried to take KC out of their game with a bunch of cheap shots. KC wouldn't bite.
    • KC actually has a defense this season, a first that I can remember under Reid
    • SF defense was surprisingly bad against the run but DET's OL is excellent
    • it's the trenches that matter in championship football; and forget trying to sack QBs, gotta have the CBs that can cover
    • Mahomes is ridiculously good; 83% completion rate against the top defense in a championship game?! No one seems to be able to cover Kelce.
+1. Of all the poster here you are one of the top 3 who understand this game in my humble opinion.

    Rudolph does / can :

have to have a QB that can use the middle of the field
have to have a QB that can throw accurate intermediate passes
have to have a QB that can make quick and correct decisions
do all of the above well! He can used his weapons well, and throw the deep ball well to Pickens via play action with 'Muth.

Get this man a contract and a real coach.

By the way Lamar was 1 of 6 on third down conversions
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

You keep debating your IMAGINARY FRIEND who thinks QB rating is infallible.

LITERALLY NOBODY ON THIS FORUM says that Windy.

There is NO COUNTERPART to your pff allegiance promoting QB rating in the same way you do pff.

Unlike YOU we need just use our eyes to understand that a ricocheting pass could have been a pick.

Do I contend that both quarterback rating or QBR with my eyes is more accurate in the aggregate than BLIND ALLEGIANCE to pff fearing to disagree because I did not watch every play? ABSOLUTELY.

      Proof to follow.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

      TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

My eyeballs rates the play of our three QBs (in seasons with at least 3 starts) as:

        1. Mason
        2. Kenny
        3. Mitch

I have NEVER ACTUALLY COMPARED their QB rating. I am quite confident QB rating will mirror my eyes.

I have compared the three MANY TIMES in pff and the order is:

        1. Mitch
        2. Kenny
        3. Mason

Unlike you I can see with my eyes that this is absolutely backwards. It is NOT CLOSE to correct.

If I look at QB rating and it disagrees with my eyes (and it did with several early picks not being rookie Kenny’s fault) I can SEE the rating is wrong.

You on the other hand do not think we can see the obvious if it contradicts your beloved pff metrics.

I just checked passer rating and YES Mitch rated better than Kenny so I have no problem disagreeing with that assessment. Factored into MY opinion are:

            1. Many of Kenny’s picks and incompletions were not his fault.
            2. He started slow as a rookie but was trending up. Late season Kenny was better than Mitch and his qb rating reflected that.
            3. Kenny is CLUTCH, Mitch ain’t. Best quality of Kenny’s.

            Nobody blindly uses QB rating.

This season, with Kenny maturing and more consistent receiver play QB play it matches my original take EXACTLY.

            1. Mason
            2. Kenny
            3. Mitch

Windy USE YOUR EYES AND YOUR BRAIN. You know what I say is right.

Yes and I’ll keep doing it until people understand how flawed it is to take on its face.

Good luck. People love those damn PFF charts..

its to the point where some of the scores make it impossible to use them in arguments.
