Grading every rookie from Steelers 2023 NFL draft class

2023 was the first Pittsburgh Steelers rookie class built by general manager Omar Khan, As is the norm in the NFL, rookies get very little time to get acclimated before being thrust into a significant role but the Steelers were able to handle their rookie class just right.

Here are our grades for the Steelers rookies:

As do I. This is our best draft since ... the Bill Cowher days. I liked the draft for the moment it was over and I love it now.

Jones struggled occasionally in pass pro so I'd tend to give him an A- or B+.

So pretty much straight A's but Tomlin is winning with a poverty roster, according to the mainstream media and some here? Or is perhaps the teacher doing the grading a little biased?

I like our draft picks but I’d still wait to grade them.

Brod struggles with pass pro.

JPJ is still a little too handsy and needs to continue getting better.

Benton showed flashes but also has disappeared at times.

Washington is just a blocking TE and has had mixed results so far.

Nick has had tiny little flashes but has int gotten PT really beyond ST

and the rest haven’t played yet.

for all we know Anderson and Trice could turn into our best picks.

im very hopeful for all these guys and signals this far point to this being an excellent draft. But I’m not sure any of these players are half way to their peak potential. Will be interesting to see what we have a few years down the line.

Exactly.
Same fans give us As and Bs every year and then use the excuse of having no talent to defend Tomlin.

AND of course this particular media source is legit and trustworthy but if a ?journalist? gives us a C or D draft, they are scabs and don?t know football? lol

Good point on Benton. Noticed him getting washed out against BUF. He's got the talent, just needs to develop his skills. If he can become a Hargrave then that is a + draft pick.
