Whoever they hire I hope they can bring our offense into modern times.

Robinson has ties to Rudolph, that is a plus.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

Interesting, he's also only 37, which coincidentally is around the same age as Cowher and Tomlin when hired as HC.

I’m worried that if Robinson is hired, Tomlin will bully him into letting him be majorly involved.

Of course, I don’t see Robinson taking the job.
There are plenty of teams that offer a lot more than Pittsburg does.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

            Hmmmm, that’s interesting.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

            TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

I am not so sure that happens. If he does poorly OF COURSE it will be because of Tomlins meddling.

But if he does GREAT it will be because Rooney forbade Tomlin from speaking to him.

I think I got that right.

Tomlin re-instated Kenny as the starter and "hopes" Mason will return to "compete". Who are you going to blame when Kenny opens the 2024 season as the unquestioned starting QB?

My dream is Tomlin is in transition mode and the next extension is his last, Rooney and Khan know it, etc. so he'll be more hands off with the coordinators, at least on the offensive side of the ball, he pretty much runs the defense though and I doubt he'll be stepping back from that while still HC.

Reality is though if Steelers hire someone like Robinson, 37, with very minimal actual play calling experience, it's gonna be a train wreck with Tomlin (and possibly Rooney) constantly interfering. Hope I'm wrong and Steelers do hire Robinson or someone like him and things go great but idk.

Yet you think Tomlin is responsible for everything good and everyone is responsible for things that go wrong……

Are you saying you never heard of Tomlin having a major influence on both sides of the ball?
Hell, even the most die hard Tomlin apologists were screaming for Canada to be fired yet Tomlin kept defending him and brought him back.

Interesting ask. He does not meet the requirements Tomlin specifically spoke of in his press conference - Looking for someone who has experience as an O-coordinator and someone who has called his own plays. Neither applies here.

                            Jim Caldwell- Option 1

Van Pelt could be option 2.

I was going to make this exact post.
Tomlin apologists won’t be able to defend his lying no matter how they try to spin it.
