    Another year

And another year I am right about Tomlin..
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

We were 10 point dogs, a win would be the biggest upset in the playoffs. That dont make you Nostradamus.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

      TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Anyone happy with 8-10 wins and a playoff embarrassment is a loser. This sucks.

              Yup.
And obviously I’m not talking about one game. I’m taking about the last decade or more.

Are the Pirates now more likely to win a World Series before the Steelers win a SuperBowl?

For the last 13 seasons the Steelers are 3-9 in the playoffs and one of those wins was a miracle win against the Bengals, if their RB hadn't fumbled with under 2 minutes left the Steelers lose. And it's not just that horrible record, it's the embarrassing ways the team has lost a number of those games.

Some fans hate hearing that Tomlin "won with Cowher's players and coaches" but looking at his playoff success, yeah that seems to largely be the case come playoff time. 5 of his 8 playoff wins came within his first 4 years as coach. Only 3 since then.

He’s never beaten a team as an underdog.
He’s been beaten plenty of times as a favorite.
He only has 1 win over a team with a better record it that teams starting qb got hurt and he got to face the backup.

And if he returns the ceiling is once again 9-10 wins and a playoff thumping. The franchise is stuck in neutral. Bucs and Packers just both had quick reboots, took longer but the Lions have built something, even Cleveland has a brighter future.

Something big has to change and it has to happen in the next week or two. If the North Side goes silent for the next month, expect business as usual.

I'm not expecting anything big with regard to Tomlin. Unless he steps away on his own.

For me, I just want to see an actual search for a real offensive coordinator. And giving Mitch his walking papers. And bringing in another QB for a real competition this time. Either via draft or FA.

If all we do is promote within, I agree with you... 9-10 wins and early playoff exit is the ceiling.
