because he was critical of MC's play-calling, Tomlin sent him to the benchAccording ESPN's charting:
Our win rate metics stack the NFL's best run-blocking, run-stopping, pass-protecting and pass-rushing players and teams.
btw, the double team rates are the reason why Garrett is often ranked above Watt.
And how is it the OL sitting on the bench was the Steelers best pass blocking OT? -
People think we have a talent problem, but then you see guys like Mason, Chuks, and Dotson and it becomes quite clear that we have more of a coaching problem. Don't play the best players and/or put them in position to succeed.Last edited by WindyCitySteel; 01-10-2024, 02:22 PM.Comment

probably because that OT sucked in run blocking.According ESPN's charting:
Our win rate metics stack the NFL's best run-blocking, run-stopping, pass-protecting and pass-rushing players and teams.

And how is it the OL sitting on the bench was the Steelers best pass blocking OT?
Notice how our run blocking improved dramatically once he was benched.Steelers 27

Isn't this because they don't count being blocked by RBs and TEs in double teams?
So when Watt has to beat an OT, a TE, and a RB it doesn't count as a double or triple team?Comment

I think it's more about timing -- if he beats them all at the same time, they count it, if he goes through them one after another, they don't. Just a guess.Comment
