We beat them at full strength early in the season with Pickett at QB, it was the same score too.

Brother I don't either. Mason was 18 for 20. I couldn't believe that because they were all dinks except for DJs TD. He lost one fumble. The Ravens are a good D.
If the brain trust thought Kenny could do it, he would have been in.

ST scored I think... Maybe the pint block safety was another game

Maybe we win. Maybe we lose. But I don't think Kenny is better than Mason right now.

Not sure if you noticed but both sides were dinking and dunking. Maybe something to do with the weather?

You're right but our last two games have spoiled me. I know the Ravens are a much better D and p perhaps that was the plan.

One thing though it sure is good to feel like we do right now. After the Colts game I thought we were the worst team in the league. All these talking heads are saying Coaching was the reason. The only thing Coaching should be credited with is letting Mason Rudolph play. Our turnaround is due to Mason.

That Ravens team? Probably. If the Ravens didn't bench half their team and needed this game, we would have gotten spanked either way.

The Pickett hate is getting a little much I gotta say at this point. Steelers barely won this game playing against a team resting like 40% of it's starters and with Huntley at QB. Did anyone actually watch Huntley play? It's crazy the game was even close and MR was lucky he wasn't picked off early in the game and almost turned the ball a couple other times. I actually didn't think he played poorly but bizarre to bring up KP.

I agree especially since we already have the answer to this question. As I pointed out, the Steelers with Kenny Pickett beat a fully healthy Ravens team. Why would you not believe the Steelers could pull out the win versus the backups?

THIS And we beat the Rats with their starters WITH Canada!! Weird that it was the same score as yesterday.

I don't see all that much difference between Kenny and Mason. Both have made some slash plays. Both have made mistakes. Mason should have had a pick against the Rats yesterday. Both looked much the same against the Bungles post-Canada.

Honestly, I'm not all that excited about either of them right now. What makes me nervous is that this 10-7 record is going to convince Tomlin/Rooney that they don't need to bring in a talented coordinator from outside the org. And we're just going to run with KP8 + Faulkner/Sullivan next year and have probably another mediocre offense.

It's not Pickett hate as much a disappointment. Pickett hasn't been good and it wasn't all Matt Canada. Pickett looks lost at times. Slow to make his reads and inaccurate with his throws.

Over the past three weeks, we have seen Mason with the exact same players and essentially the same offense significantly out perform anything Pickett has done. You can watch the game and see that Mason is seeing the field better, making decisions faster and delivering.

That's not Pickett hate that's just the outcomes we have seen.

Simple question: Name one play off team that would trade their QB for Pickett and have the same record?

Tha fact we have 10 wins is a credit tio the coaches and team.

I agree he does look lost at times but who can blame him though? For most of his time he's played under Canada and he's inexperienced. MR played one game under Canada and the team scored 16 points against a winless Lions team.

I feel like maybe you are overrating MR's performance because the team has been scoring points which I get. And maybe I'm wrong and MR is the long term answer for the Steelers but I think a lot of the success for the offense in the last 3 weeks has been a combination of Oline play, opponents, no more Canada, run game and then MR roughly in that order. He has played well but he's had a ton of help and what's funny is KP's numbers are roughly the same in games played vs the same opponents this year and that was under Canada and in one game getting below average run support (Ravens game). KP actually threw for more yards and a TD against the Ravens earlier in the year.

You might want to take note that game Rudolph played in freezing rain . Like 39 degrees. That tends to limit the passing and scoring for ANYONE. IMO, I have played football in the weather like this ( the cold and rain ) before and let me tell you the ball security, the wind, and cold hands do matter and the football is sipper when wet.

An apples to apples comparison would be nice.

MR's play is something the offense has never done under Pickett.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***
