If we start the season with Kenny and can't get out of the 16PPG mode, he needs to get a quick hook. Mason isn't Marino, but he's seeing the field and standing in the pocket better than Kenny and it's nearly double out point output.

Well -- first you said he is not 9th in the AFC and now your listing NFC players too.

Let us focus in the AFC.

Burrow, Allen, Mahomes, Herbert, Lamar, Tua all well above him. Lawrence isn't the can't miss QB we all thought he was, but I'd certainly take him over Mason. Unless Stroud was a one-year wonder, easily above Mason.
I will say the Mahomes, and Allen are very proven.

I think Jackson is not as good as he appears to be , and plays on team with a lot of offensive, defensive and special teams and coaching talent. His playoff record sucks and he has been hurt for 2021 and 2022. Let see how the playoffs go, and what Mason does if he gets the chance.

Burrow when healthy is very good, but like Jackson he is not healthy all the time.

Rudolph has not missed a string of games. His is 8-4-1 as the starter his QBR rating is better than most of the QB listed. Yes -- he has only started three games, but his QBR which a 3rd in the NFL is above all listed names this season.

If he started the full season I think the Steelers would be in the playoffs! And the Steelers would have won say 11 or 12 games instead of 10.

      Rudolph is good
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Rudolph has played well. I’m happy for him. If he relieved Kenny in the AZ game I think we are an 11 or 12 win team, maybe even 13 games. Mitch was that bad.

Mason’s offense has put up points. He’s thrown 3 TD’s and 0 INT’s in 3 games. Similar stats to what Kenny would do but I do think he is quicker to dump passes off which is a huge benefit for moving the chains.

We still have yet to see Mason against a good defense. If he plays well in the playoffs then yes, he gets even more props from me.

We needed wins so Mason is getting major love. I’m sorry but Kenny and Mitch are light years apart.

Mitch throws extremely awful game killing INT’s. Kenny does not.

and I think some fans have tricked themselves into believing Kenny was the QB when we were having a 3 game losing streak.
I like that Kenny doesn't throw INTs.

But he's also historically bad at throwing TDs.

Yes, this is true but we are also running heavy in the RZ and it's working. We don't need 4 passing TD's to win games right now. The pass to DJ was encouraging though, that is exactly what we need if teams continue to double Pickens.

but it's hard to compare them fairly since Mason has done all of this without Canada calling the plays.
