Yes, Mason played very well today in very difficult weather conditions:

18/20 for 152 yds with 1 TD, zero ints and a passer rating of 115.

One good throw, 2-3 fumbles and a dropped INT. I thought overall he was shaky.

yeah, his 3 fumbles which we fortunately only lost one of definitely could have been more problematic.

Ya Mason wasn't very good, his pocket awareness was bad his ball security was bad. We hit one big play and relied on the run game. If Pickett had started and had the same game people would be calling for his head.

Are you saying KP and MR are interchangeable? Probably not far from the truth.
Unfortunately the Steelers have played themselves out of drafting one of the good QBs in the draft.

If ANYTHING the last few weeks have shown that Rudolph & probably KP too are much more effective QB's if the team runs Najee through the middle.

We may have invested a 1st in KP, but we ALSO invested a 1st in Najee, who is a 'between the tackles' runner. As soon as we put the load on his back- Steelers have looked better.
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

              Light up the darkness.

Right now I'm not sure, but I believe Pickett has a higher ceiling. I'm just pointing out that people consider that a good game by Mason and if it were Pickett they would call it a bad game.

I am glad Mason started and won the game. I had no confidence in Kenny playing in that game and weather conditions. However it turns out, Mason made the most of his starts/opportunities and the past situation; and I hope he gets rewarded for it.

It's kind of funny how Mason seems to be the opposite of KP in the pocket, KP will get happy feet too often and move out of the pocket while MR will often just stand like a statue. I think in the previous two games this was viewed as good pocket presence but I'm not sure how much of that was simply great pass protection. In the Ravens game MR seemed to be oblivious to outside pressure which is pretty concerning. Could've had 2-3 turnovers pretty easily.

I disagree. We haven't seen Pickett have a three game run like Mason has had so it's a moot point.

The reality is mason is the better QB right now. He sees the field better, he makes quicker decisions and delivers a more accurate ball. All things Pickett has failed to do consistently this season. That's on Pickett...NOT the ex-OC, not the fans, not his team mates.

How can it be moot? Mason didn't have this 3-game run until season 6.

Yeah, I'll be the bad guy and say this but even if we sneak in today, without Watt our chances are very low of making any noise and probably trending towards another playoff debacle.

I watched Stroud last night again, as much as we all may hope a new OC will turn Kenny around or make Mason better, we ain't got a dude like that. At best we have a fringe top 10 QB in the conference.

So we are expected to wait til season 6 for Pickett to perform at this level? It's moot because all that matters is the here and now. If we are in the play offs, Mason is our best shot at success not Pickett.

Oh, agree with that 100%, we're riding with Mason this year. And no, quite frankly, we can't be that patient with Kenny.
