Don't be surprised, Tomlin will insert Kenny if healthy. If he does that and Kenny struggles in a loss, that would really lose the team, I fear.

If we look like an NFL offense again, I think you have to stay with MR.

        But it does show...

There are plays to be made in this offense.

Plays the other QBs repeatedly missed.

And the "nobody is open' narrative can be put to sleep.

Which raises two questions: Why didn't Tomlin commit to start Mason, and what took so GD long to get the right guy in there?

Gonna be interesting around here if Kenny gets his job back.

Anyway, that's a problem for tomorrow, great win tonight, happy to see it and see them look so dominant.

          Style points matter!

FWIW...On Ramon's podcast, DK has repeatedly said that Mason does himself no favors in practice.

Maybe that's why he was 3rd on the depth chart.

We do know that he only came back to the Steelers because no one else wanted him. Because he absolutely wanted to leave.

              QBs vs CIN

If we are being honest, not a whole lot of difference at least location wise. Both with 4 passes of 20+ yds, KP completed 2, MR completed 1 (for a TD).

Where Pickett has been weakest throughout his career is the 10-20 yd pass. This is the zone where MR did a bit better.

The thing that struck me most about Mason (and it was to be expected) - was that he made sound decisions, his mechanics were good and his throws were largely very accurate. In other words, he played like an nfl caliber QB. no happy feet, went through his reads, no tendency to spin to the left out of the pocket, threw it away when nothing was there, etc. just competent QB play - and the offense looked like a group that could move the ball.

As I said previously, we?ve been so starved for competence we?re likely overreacting. It was fun to watch that game however. First time this year.

I think there is definitely overreaction going on by most of the fanbase, partly because the Steelers scored over 30 for the first time in forever so it's understandable. But this happens after every game with the hot takes these days.

Spot on regarding the QB mechanics. The contrast between MR and the other guys was glaring. MR played with confidence I haven't seen from Pickett since the preseason games.

This season in the NFL has seen more than its share of overreaction games (see DEN, BUF, MIA, etc.)
