Father Time catching up with Cam

Looks slow out there. Has been consistently graded in the Elite-level high 80s/low 90s at PFF for several years, dipped to 77 this year and I think we're going to start to see a trend downwards. Now in concussion protocol.

Even if we get a new QB or Kenny turns it around, I can see the D backsliding over the next couple years and the last time that happened it took 5-6 years to rebuild.

Gotta get over this method of trying to fill all holes with cheaper, mediocre players -- our stars are aging and can't carry the team anymore.

    Father Time is undefeated.

I noticed Cam’s play last night as well.

Might be time for him to get along to his life’s work.

    Had a great career.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

He was concussed, like Watt last week. It can affect your game. But he's close, if not already, at the point of looking at his post-Steelers life.

I mentioned this in a game thread a few weeks back. DL is a major need. They got destroyed last night.

If there was no salary cap it would be one thing. But next year Cam counts over $22M and the team can save $16M if he doesn't return. We all love the guy but time for him to move out.

            Yup.
Some are using the Ben contract as an excuse for Tomlin but fail to mention Cams.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

They won't cut him. But maybe they have a conversation and he does the honorable thing and retires.

Or if he wants to come back, maybe it's at a lower number.

Normally, I'd say that we wouldn't do that with a marquee guy. But we did it with Ben.

This is exactly why I wanted to trade up with Chicago in round 1 and get Jalen Carter. Look what he's doing in Philly.
