would definitely need some tweaks to the schedule but if its 18 games.. first week should have 2 games on Thursday night and then stagger once the bye week starts. Everyone doesn’t get a Thursday game too plus with 18 weeks you should have a way to give teams more rest since there are 18 games.

bye week starts week 4. You get a week off, then 4 more days for Thursday game. Then you have 10 more days until the next game.

Every team coming off a bye does take care of one disadvantage but the following week you have the Thursday team with the mini bye week advantage. If that's true you have to ensure each of 32 teams gets one Thursday game.

does every team doesn't get a Thursday game now?

I know we have 2 Thursday games this year.

With an 18 game schedule I think you can make this happen.

I don't think it is currently mandated but I think it would have to be. I'd still rather it disappear, but I know that won't happen so every team playing once and nobody more than twice, and every team getting a bye week before playing (which means bye weeks have to start from week 2 and two teams getting the bye who play the next Thursday) is the best way to make up for the competitive advantages and disadvantages of Thursday football.

I would certainly rather there be no Thursday games. And agree it will never happen.

If they run a Thursday game every week, there some teams will have to play twice.

            Two teams play every Thursday
            There are 18 weeks.
            That's 36 "slots"
But there are only 32 teams.

So at minimum 4 teams have to play twice.

Although maybe they don't have Thursday games in week 18 for competitive balance (not to give anyone extra rest before the WC games)? In that case, only 2 teams would have to play twice.

I think if you play twice on Thursdays, both should be home games. Maybe they should come back to back (with a bye week before) so you get a week between games? Or maybe do division rivals in back to back Thursdays home and away? That might actually be kind of cool. Week 7 and 8 gives us the two game series between the Steelers and Browns? Weeks 9 and 10 gives us a double shot of the Giants and Eagles?

They can't complain about wanting teams to play on Sunday more frequently after the schedule the Steelers have had this year.

Thursday, Saturday, Saturday coming up. I'm at 3 games that I've been able to watch on the ticket this year. Such a waste of money.
