Pickett has just one TD pass in his last six games. And zero in his last three. But I predict that will end the next game. Fans who can wait for me to be wrong will have to deal with it, because Kenny our " special " QB going to prove me correct. I am going against the odds. After all what starting QB this year has only thrown one td pass in his last six games? The same team that has failed to win a playoff game is the last six years is the easy answer ... but I did not do much research so I could be wrong.

We have to look at the big picture with KP8. At the end of the season has he shown improvement post Canada. Is the improvement enough?
Because as Joel had pointed out the 24 draft is rather deep at qb and there are a few teams that may draft a qb n move their current qb.
It would be good to know if KP is good enough. That’s what we may find out over next 6 + games.

Most people agreed after last season it was one of Pickett's priorities that he needed to improve on this year. So, mathematically, yes he's improved.

Of course, that is terrible and my support for Pickett would be that, that was under Canada. He clearly looked like an NFL quarterback against the Bengals even without a TD. So, lets watch moving forward and see if Pickett can complete some TD passes as the Steelers move forward. What is in the past is in the past, nothing Pickett or anyone else for that matter can do about that. Hopefully, we will see "W"s and TD passes moving forward, that will be the metric now that the Canada defense is gone. There was a whole lot of bad offensive football over the past 2-3 years, regardless of the quarterback.

Again, this was under Canada, a guy who clearly should not have been in the NFL to begin with. Watching his offense play that stat means basically nothing to me in regards to evaluating KP.

well, Warren didn't give us a chance to throw in the end zone again after the DJ drop.

Then there was the failed target on 3rd down to the corner of the front pylon.

but it made no sense to risk a turnover on the last drive when we had time on our side.

even though we didn't blow out Cincy the fact we looked like a totally different offense gives me confidence.

We won't really know until we play the Colts if what we have is legit on offense due to weaker competition. Hopefully we keep the momentum going until that game.

It’s not about “ style”…

It’s about capabilities. To really compete, at some point our QB has to be able to throw TD passes. This is a passing league and anyone who actually thinks you can “ game manage “ your way to a championship in today’s NFL is not being realistic. Pickett has been terrible at that but, I’m giving him a clean slate and looking forward to seeing further improvement against the cardinals.

Northcoast was exactly right when he said if Pickett can’t throw a TD pass against the cardinals, then that isn’t a good sign going forward. But I think
He does throw one or two against the cardinals.

This is the kind of attitude that has us hanging onto WRs who sulk when they don't get the ball, and when they do they either drop it or run backwards.
