Picketts last throw of the game was horrible. DJ open, Pickett airmailed it where it wasn't catchable. That's the throw he has to make for us to win.

That's because Ben had arm surgery & wasn't the same again.

He was noticeably better when running the no-huddle where he was calling his own plays, he had like 7 4th quarter comebacks that season. He was also visibly frustrated when running that offense. Now it could've been because of his arm surgery or it could've been because it just sucked lol.

After the game, Tomlin said "the game unfolded exactly like we expected it to".

I wish someone would've had the guts to ask, "If that's the case, why didn't you have the team better prepared for it?"

But we threw DJs way 3 times.

            DJ is hot garbage.

He can run routes but can?t make plays. That?s kinda worthless.
Regardless of the target, the only legitimate chance Cleveland had of winning in regulation was either a turnover or three straight incompletions. How is that not on the mind of the coaching staff? How is it not a part of their thinking? Just absolutely unforgivable that we did not run that ball on first down from the 48.

It's why every pass is outside the hash marks or at the LOS. This offense is such a chore to watch, it really is, run by two guys who don't have a clue about offense at the NFL level.
It's the Tomlin/Canada risk-averse, live-in-your-fears approach that we've seen for multiple seasons now. As long as the team finishes at .500 or above, and there continues to be all the yammering about what a great job Tomlin is doing, don't expect the offense to change much.

“ live in their fears” is exactly it.

The problem is a combination of Pickett & Canada. Canada isn’t good and Pickett isn’t an accurate enough passer.

with the way we?re running the ball it should be easy to run play action and hit George, Calvin, DJ (well maybe not DJ) deep.

                      - Why weren't the steelers running the ball more given how crappy the passing gameplan was and how successful the run game was going?

                      - Why wasn't Pat F used more outside one pass?

                      - Why in the world is Pickens never thrown a deep ball, like ever??? Even if he's covered there's a decent chance he's coming down with the ball, he is a physical freak, it's like throwing to Randy Moss, Jr. Seriously wtf is going on here?
Yea, Canada and Tomlin are telling him to throw high, throw wide, not throw to open guys.

You be would think; but we got a QB whose passing accuracy is not good. To say the least.

Exactly!!! You can’t blame that on Canada.

Very tough division matchup. Can't expect to win all of those, especially against a good defense. But I am disappointed in Pickett, and Harris continues to be used too much even in his reduced role.

No but I guarantee you they are telling him to throw to Warren in the flat, throw the out for the 10th time, avoid the middle of the field, etc. I'll say it again but I don't think any QB will look good in this offense, it's not NFL level.

                                Steelers had no chance today.

Steel Maniac picking them simply was too much to overcome.
