    I just don't know......

Just got back from the game so emotions are still a little raw and I'll need to rewatch tomorrow to see if my initial reactions are skewed.......

But overall, my analysis is the title. I just don't know what to make of this team.

I want to be positive. I want to focus on the good stuff. JPJ balling out. Broderick Jones looking stout. Najee running hard and breaking for a few big gains. Warren doing his usual 'make chicken salad out of chick crap' routine. The defense getting good pressure, sacks and icing the game with an interception. Starting the game with an actual 1st down and a long drive for a TD. I recommend they try to do that more often.....

Those are all really good things to focus on.

But then my mind wanders to 1st and 27 pinned deep and we scheme a LB on Hopkins so he can burn us for 30. Yikes. Although he had no catches in the second half - so ok. That's good.

But then I go to 3rd and 15 easy conversions. I think about Titan WR's easily finding holes in the zone to get large amounts of space to catch the ball. I want to focus on giving Derrick Henry lots of yards - but not letting him take over the game. That's really awesome. But then I can't get past all the penalties (many were BS from my view) especially one that makes Boz kick off from the 20 and give them a short field only needing one score to win the game.

I get this is the NFL. No victory is easy. But the amount of self-inflicted wounds this team likes to give itself makes it hard to appreciate all they good stuff they're doing. I want to focus on that, but man they make it tough.

But I'll try to finish on 5-3 with a good chance to be 6-3 after a nice 10 day break. That would be amazing, particularly with the awful numbers this team has put up. If they can somehow find a way to stop shooting themselves in the foot, play disciplined error free football, we might be able to make some noise in Dec and have a chance at a run in Jan.

I hope so. I'd love to be the team no one wants to face in the first round. It could happen.

    But I just don't know.....

I get the feeling that you do know. This is not a good team. Can't play this type of ball and expect to do too much for long.

He trusts the defense TOO much. You only have one CB who can consistently cover. After seeing PatPete get destroyed all night, i didnt feel good about the final drive. Thanks Kwon…

In my mind, play calling was better on offense….

The RBs had room. Warren had his best, most consistent game of the season IMO. Najee was in on some actual passes, which loosened the defense for him as well. Pickett had a couple of misses, the WR (DJ and Pickens) had mental errors that should have been TDs.

There were moments where i actually thought THIS offense could crack 400 yards

All anyone needs to know is that after 8 games last season the Steelers were 2-6 and this year they are 5-3. That’s my glass half full perspective.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

Defense gets shredded with irrelevant tidbits all game, miscommunications galore, Kenny kills at least three drives with errant 3rd down passes, Austin drops the underthrown ball that hits him in the numbers (TD with a better throw), Pickens blows an easy one, dumb penalties, dumb trick plays.

In other words, a typical Steeler game. My patience is up with Kenny, I hope they don't give him another year unless a light goes on, and I give that about a 1% chance.

One QB looked like a raw first rounder with eye-popping talent, the other a mid-round journeyman.

The team is weak and shows little planning and execution honestly so many emotions like others have mentioned and this team won't get far this season but my steelers glasses hold out hope for any given Sunday

I know we are 5-3. I’m taking it one game at a time instead of trying to play the whole season with each missed pass, run for no gain or uncovered defender running free in the secondary.

This team is frustrating to watch yet they are winning more than they are losing which is a good thing.

Do you seriously believe the Steelers schemed for the LB to cover theWR? That is the difference with Canada. The Titan's OC schemed that. He put the WR in motion to aline him with the LB, and since the Steelers are not in m2m, the LB has to pick up the man in his space.

This is where all the complaints of Canada comes in. Yes Pickens is double teamed. Put him in motion and have him line up with the opposing team LB. But he doesnt. Why do you all think its hard for Pickett to know if its man or zone coverage? That is why OC put the best WR in motion him all over the field.

They look exactly like they did last year, just haven't played as many top teams. They just never get better. I think they're happy where they are.

The only recent QB with a higher rating in the 4th quarter than Kenny is Tom Brady. Kenny ranks higher than Mahommes. This is his 7th 4th quarter comeback victory. He?s not going anywhere. The Rooneys love him, his teammates love him and the city loves him.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

backed up deep I think we were expecting a run and guessed wrong. I would prefer if Porter covers Hopkins on every play regardless of coverage called. Let everyone else play zone.. lol.

They really think we will move on from a QB winning 7 of his first 19 games played in the 4th quarter.

                        Its not happening.

but at the same time these folks are crowning Levis for throwing for 262 yards, 0TD?s and one 1INT in his second start.

Me too. We are +3 wins over last year. That is a major positive.

Not pretty wins, but those may actually be more impressive. Shows a team with leadership and character

The team is rotten. There needs to be big changes in the coaching staff. They've made Kenny Pickett worse than his rookie season. Exactly who is Pickett's QB coach? That dude needs to fired along with Canada and Tomlin.

I can't tolerate much more of this poor product. Both in terms of the Steelers play and the crappy NFL product and rules. Penalty after penalty in last nights game made the game as exciting as watching water polo.

In fact, I was so bored I was channel surfing between hockey games and the football game. This is first time I've done this during any Steelers game ever. Make it stop.

I was the biggest Pickett supporter when we drafted him. I made a huge mistake, I believe.

The wideouts on the team make me angry too. Why does Diontae have to celebrate after every catch? What has he really done that is so great for the last 2 seasons?

Last but not least is Pickens. Love this guys talent but hate his attitude. What a pouting crybaby. Get the f open before you start crying.

I forgot to mention Porter. Great cover guy but man he's the worst tackler ever. Does he ever practice this?
