It's hard to not believe coordinators help win games in the nfl.

Just look at the Ravens success after firing Cam Cameron and installing Jim Caldwell back in 2012.
OC's and DC's don't win games in the NFL. This doesn't mean that OC's and DC's didn't help teams to win or lose games.

The same can be said about the HC. Players generally win or lose games. The "easy" scapegoats are the coaches.

Fans don't go to games to watch coaches. Fans go to game to watch players perform. In rare occasions, a coaching decision might cause a team to win or lose a game.

Again, players generally win or lose games.

You are an, after a fact type of dude. How could anyone realistically believe that a 2nd year QB would lead the Steelers to a SB in his 2nd season? The pieces were in place?

The pieces are in place TODAY for the Steelers to win a championship. This is what the Steelers believe. The Steelers KNOW that the season doesn't end at 4 games.

"Frustration" is the life of most sports fans until those fans realize............that most seasons won't result in a championship win.

When we were 7-5 I thought we were toast and so did most of the fans.

I have to disagree about the underachieving over the course of a decade.

When you make a timeline of it, its easy to see why Tomlin still has a job.
          2007 playoffs
          2008 SB win
          2009 (Ben's first SA accusation)
          2010 SB appearance
          2010 (Ben's second SA accusation)
          2011-15 Three playoff appearances
          Feltdizz,

Tomlin has under achieved from 2017 to 2024. Eight years.

In these years the Steeler have won ZERO playoff games.

Most of the fans have had enough of him. It's not only the past three years.

Go blame Canada is you need to. Tomlin in his " wisdom " hired him. I agree with the sentence that you wrote, though we might have a replacement sooner.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

3-2 at the top of the division. A lot of work and potential improvement ahead. One game at a time.

The offense supposedly added talent and is much worse than even last season's abysmal offense. How do you think they will improve?

Improvement comes from continuing to work. The Steelers are on top of the division today.

then they better work their ar$$es off, because, the way the offense is playing, it's gonna have to improve mightily to have a chance to be on top of the division at the end of the season

not saying it can't be done, just saying they have their work cut out for them

I and jealous of B86S's childlike view of sports, have to admit. Blocking out all the complicated stuff and just rooting for colors and waiving a yellow towel is certainly one way to watch sports.
