I was about to post some Sanders highlights to remind people how much of a magician he was as a player. Dude could make 4 people miss in a phone booth. Barry had a lot of tackles for losses and played for a terrible franchise and was still a freak.

I know its hyperbole but they went too far. Barry would have 5 TD’s and 300 yards this year if he was in our backfield. Half the plays where Najee and Warren are being hit behind the LOS, Sanders wouldn’t have been touched.

You have missed the point.

He'd have more for sure. But, he'd ALSO be struggling if the only time he was on the field was for him to run the ball. You cannot TELL the defense the play and expect success.

Even with his bad OL in Detroit, when he was on the field, there was at least a threat of something else besides "run Barry up the middle". He was in on pass plays as well. The defense had to play him with some reasonable amount of honesty.

Why do pass rushers do better on 3rd and long than when there's a pass on 1st down? Because they know the play.

Well, Canada is telling the defense the play by simply bringing Najee in. Like I called out last game it was nearly 2 of every 3 plays he was on the field, it was a run to him between the tackles.

Would Barry have more than Naj? Absolutely?
Would the Steelers run game still suck with Barry given the same circumstances as Naj? Absolutely.

I’m sure a lot of teams are “interested” in knowing what the Colts will accept. I find it a bit ridiculous that they won’t pay him or think he isn’t worth a decent contract yet they want premium picks because he is too valuable to give away for less.
