I know with the new rules teams do not have to cut any players before 8/29, but there’s no reason to waste snaps on him any longer.

I think it time to switch him to another position. LO as in left out. Change his jersey number to 86'd. What a bad 3rd round pick.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

During the game, I'm pretty sure I saw Dotson pushing a guy 4 yards off the line of scrimmage, and Green was getting pushed back about 3 yards. It's even weird to see when you are looking at it with the shot looking down the line of scrimmage. It was such a strange contrast with 2 offensive linemen playing positions right next to each other but were nowhere near each other on that play.

I don't even know what to say about some of his reps at center anymore. Horrible.

Dotson had himself a respectable game..... against backups.

The only reason to keep him around is if another team experiences the injury bug and possibly get a low round draft pick for him. He is horrible.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

Nate Herbig is hurt now, depending on how serious the Steelers may need a backup center.

Dotson is limited. Plays one position and nothing else. Can get better

My point was to demonstrate how bad Green was in that game and how far he was getting pushed back on a running play. I wasn't making a case for Dotson being great.

I was incredulous watching that play and seeing how badly Green was being pushed around.

Sorry, this response is replying to NorthCoast up above.

Is he just as bad at Guard? Why are they trying to force him to play a position he can’t handle? If he can’t play his natural position cut his ass.

His athleticism as an interior Olinemen is why the team continues to give Green time to develop. We'll see.

                            Seems like he's neither.

They know he doesn't have a hope at G given the depth we have not (assuming the big H injury isn't serious).

So they are trying him at C (and even FB) to see if he can add any kind of value at the bottom of the roster.

I genuinely feel bad for this dude. After JJ, he was one of the next guys out for practice every day I was in camp and he was working to get better.

No argument he stinks, but I really believe he’s giving everything he’s got.
