The steelers were 7-2 after the bye.....Yes, the steelers need to attempts and make more play in the long run, but no need to go to the other extreme too

The Steelers lost to the Browns, Pats, Jets and Dolphins (when they only had 16 points) in the first half of the season....

I'm sorry I didn't put this article when I started this thread but here's what Tomlin said about it on NFL network
All the coaches in the history on the NFL generally take a more conservative approach when it comes to 1st year QB's.

Fans know that playing QB is the hardest position to play in the NFL. Deep passes are lower % completion passes regardless of who is playing QB. Middle range passes are a higher % completion than deep passes regardless of who is playing QB. Shorter passes are higher completion % than the other two.

The Steelers coaches kept the deep passes and intermediate passes in the offense. It was up to the QB to decide where to go with the football.

"as you search for chunk plays, the potential for negativity is probably more prevalent, and we just weren't interested in a whole bunch of negativity a year ago."
We'll how far he reaches out of the piss-your-pants offense once the kick off for real games start. He's gonna resort to trying to win games 13-10 until he's forced out of it. He did the same thing with Ben, in case you forgot, but Ben had the tools to come back and win much of the time. Will Kenny? We are about to find out.

we changed our philosophy when Ben came back from his injury and clearly no longer had the same arm.

Losing 48-37 with 5 turnovers like the 2020 playoffs is better?

Yall have been saying take the shots even if we lose. You would just LOVE for that to happen to fuel your anti-Tomlin case.

Kenny came out the block hurling it deep and bad things happened, and we looked bad. You wanted that to continue didnt you?

Sadly for you Tomlin went safe and we started winning.
This sounds like a SMART coaching decision, that almost netted a playoff birth... why would a FAN of the team complain about this?

I don't think it was a way bigger % in terms of run vs pass. Limiting turnovers boils down to execution by the players.

The steelers were passing 62% of the time before the bye week and it drops to 54% at the end of the season...

It depends on several situations the pass-run ratio but it's still a major difference....The steelers had almost 150 rushing yards per game in their final 9 games...it was around 100 before the bye week I believe

I prefer a offense had more run that the dink and dunk offense with 40 pass attempts or more.Of course I prefer more big play and I think it will come if the o-line become better

because those “FANS” didn’t want to see us make the playoffs. They wanted that losing season!

                                Teams on our schedule?

I mean, we all know our SOS was ranked top 5 last year.

Making excuses because we didn’t play the best team every week is silly talk.
