QBs getting paid

This sounds like a good plan to me.

With allowances for keeping home grown guys that end up being elite (unless they are WRs...because WRs are too expensive to afford when you have a high value QB IMO).

I would worry about bringing in outside UFAs on huge deals though. My sense is that they usually underperform expectations when they come to new systems

Except for free agent SECONDARY players who are key cogs continue to be elite and who help teams win rings FREQUENLY.

I think the way I would build a team with a franchise QB on a huge contract:

- On O, average to above average OL, recycle RBs and WRs in draft and 3rd contract guys
- On D, invest in elite pass rushers and corners, average everywhere else

Of course, if you can get those elite CB and EDGE on rookie deals, money can go elsewhere. Point is, you have to judiciously spend and draft well.
