I Reckon We're Headed Deep into the Playoffs

Compared to the Colbert era, the new management team of Khan and Weidl is like a breath of fresh air. I really love what they've done in trying to fix positions of need, and in creating depth on the roster.

This is the most energized and positive I've felt in a very long time. It's as though flippy's soul has taken over my mind. Heck, I was even ecstatic with our amazing draft. Well done, team!

The roster does have some shortcomings. For one, I'm not convinced our ILB group will be too much better. To me the WR group is average which isn't necessarily a bad thing when other units on our roster kick ass.

Without a doubt we're headed to the playoffs this season. I think we're going to finish first in our division and make it to the conference championship game before losing out.

I believe this because we have a much easier schedule, we fixed the o-line and we have much better depth overall on the roster. Plus Pickett will emerge as our next great QB.

The only person that could hold us back is of course Matt Canada or the injury bug.

I like it. The best part? The Flippy reference.

I think that is what we need to call it when anyone suddenly is struck with the optimism bug. An optimism 180.

    Example:
Prowler has gone full Flippy on us.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

I think after the draft, EVERBODY felt good. Everybody felt that the picks were at least solid and felt like they knew what management was trying to do. Which was address weaknesses. Even Whisper felt a wave of optimism too.

Camp will allow us to put the best O-lineman on the field and it should be an upgrade over the last two years. Like Prowler said, Canada is the first key...is he legit? We are about to find out. Second , is the O-line play good enough?

If those two things pan out positively, then everything else should fall into place for the most part.

Yes, but I think that going too Flippy should come with a warning.

Aren’t you guaranteeing failure this year because we have Tomlin and want people to “join you” on this fantastic journey?

              This post scares me...

Either prowler is being sarcastic somehow and we've all missed it (cuz some of the positives were accurate)...

Or someone has kidnapped prowler and we need to send out a search party

I'm more optimistic than not, but unless Canada changes drastically, all I see is *making* the playoffs this season, with another 1st round loss

                Great post!

                Everyone else will catch up.

Im even more optimistic. The primary reason is I think TJ can make this team and last season we suffered without him. As long as he stays healthy and we fully compliment him, this team is SB bound.

Im also not as worried about the ILB position. I think we got a thumper and we?ve got 3 good Ss that will be used more in coverage than ILBs and make this a non issue.

I think Pat P slides inside on passing downs and the sooner JPJ and/or Trice can come up to speed, the faster this D gets to lights out good.

I know I?m overboard on the optimism right now and we just have to play the games, but why can?t this be the greatest Steeler D ever? Why can?t the OLine elevate the running game and help Najee turn the corner and become one of the best big bruisers punishing D?s that want to get in his way.

And why can?t Kenny fulfill his promise and become the Joe Montana with mobility we all know he can be?

Until these guys prove they can?t, why not think they can?

                  I’ll tell you why not.
It is so much better to stay in a perpetual state of doom and gloom Flippy.

Why be happy and hopeful when we can enjoy wallowing in our hopelessness?

                  Contrary to what you said:
Kennys tiny hands are connected to a weak arm
                  Najee is a slug
The defense will be a sieve with slow linebackers.
And most of all TOMLIN WILL NEVER LEAD US TO A POST SEASON VICTORY EVER AGAIN, now that COWHERS PLAYERS are all gone.

Ahhh, having cleared my mind of your foolish optimism and reminded myself of the fact that we have no chance for success I feel so much better.

You'll be happy to know that I am safe and sound so you can hold off on sending that search party, lol.

Yeah Canada, he's a huge problem. However, I feel like we have enough talent but in the end his shortcomings will kill us in the conference championship game.

The next season we'll be in the SB after they fire Canada.

Fruit loops. One and done if we even make the playoffs with Cool Shades as HC.
