Najee might get a surprise when he figures out he's not even a top 15 RB. Pgh would be stupid to sign him to big $.

They're in a tough spot but what do you do? It's the nature of the game. FBs disappeared, ILBs are next.

Not even a top 20 RB, and by the time his contract is up he will be used car with lots of wear and tear on those tires.

Not that anyone should feel bad for him, he is a multi millionaire that is living the dream of being in the NFL.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Should be pissed at his union, who allows 5th year options and franchise tags.

Yep. As I’ve been saying since the Bell days, the position has been devalued. It sucks but that’s the way it is now.

We had a RB picked in the 7th round win the last Super Bowl; even further devaluing the position. RB are a dime a dozen now. I too wouldn’t pay big money for a RB.

Everyone doesn’t have a Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes under center.

While KC was able to win a SB the NFC Championship game was between 2 teams that are run heavy with good RB’s.

I’m sure there is enough pisstivity to be upset at multiple entities.

Whether folks want to believe or not there is a serious problem with the pay structure in the NFL. If you don’t want to pay RB’s don’t use them so much.

Does anyone truly believe DJ is worth $18 mill per year while also saying Najee is worth maybe $5 per IF he gets a second contract? Anyone watching this team think that is true?

If I was a RB I would definitely look to make some noise at the next CBA.

What noise? That RB's must be signed to 3 years contacts or less on their 1st contact?

Do you think the other players will be for that, or willing to strike for RB's?

Are you paying attention to the game? IMO the elite RB's are getting big 2nd contacts and ALL NFL RB's making millions. You do not have to play football, you know

When does the long snapper union start? They make less than RB's you know..

I agree, the WR touches the ball what 5 to 8 times a game and he is a star. The RB is just one position. There are usually 3 decent WRS on evey team. The NFL has just conspired to freeze out the RB. Yeah that's right conspired.

Here's one thing I believe though. If Najee can get 1500 yards rushing and stay healthy, the Rooney's will not go along with the rest of the league. When his 2nd contract is due they will pay him. I would say 5 years and 50M$ with incentives that could push him to 14M$ per. They were willing to pay Bell but he was not able to make the right decision. He sure is crying in his beer now.

NH can cry all he wishes. There is no NFL conspiracy to freeze out RBs. It?s simple supply and demand and the short shelf life of RB careers. Teams prefer young cheap RB talent because you can win a SB with that. They also know having a rotation of plug and play is superior to having one elite back on his second contract missing games.
                            Trolls are people too.

There was another RB making noise yesterday as well.

If they want more money they should consider becoming a wide back aka Deebo. You can't blame GMs for being smart with their money. Go after the NFL to change the rules to favor more rushing.
