    Alex McCough, USFL star qb

Should we sign the USFL star QB? IMO, he showed a good accurate arm and good running ability. His completion percentage ( 67.4% ) , TD to INT ratio, ( 20 to 5 ) and production is good. He can run a bit too. If if were me, I would invite him into camp.

Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

You must get whiplash looking at every QB that walks by.

I would bring him into camp, and if he shows promise cut Trubskiy a very expensive back up. He looked good throwing the football and running it in the USFL. Some may think USFL football is not so good. IMO it is testing ground for young pro's to prove their worth. He is the USFL MVP. I could care less where he's from.

He might win a job in the NFL this year with a team like Tampa. Since we don't have exactly a star QB, I'd bring him in in a New York minute.

With the backups we currently have at QB, I'd be comfortable with him replacing BOTH our ham and eggers at backup QB, saving us a fortune and upgrading the position. But that's too sudden for Rooney; he likes everything to be in slow motion. Look at the facts, Jack.

After watching his high light video. with my trained eye, I can pretty much guarantee this guy is a 1st ballet hall of famer. Lets sign him.

I would rather have this guy as qb. His leadership alone would probably be worth 9 wins. Add in Warren touching the ball 2-3 times more per game and that could be 12 -14 wins. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNOin0eKHDQ

                  Winner

I hear that. He's definitely much cheaper. And we know what we have in the veterans, But this guy, has some untapped upside in him. All he needs is another shot in the NFL. And unless I miss my guess his phone will be ringing.

Hahahahaha..there's definitely grains of truth in what your saying. I too don't see it happening because that would be to progressive for our management crew. There's no way MR should be on our team now over Mc Cough. But because of familiarity and who likes him, MR is here. And that's the problem. Too many non football factors being factored into real football business decisions in Steelerville. Like cutsie brother stuff as another example.

Robinson is a pro at changing positions. He would be an instant upgrade.
