    Greatest WR in Steeler history

With former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown unable to stay out of the news, it has us thinking about who the greatest wide receiver is in franchise history. There are four players in the running here. John Stallworth, Lynn Swann, Hines Ward and of c

Not for his personality, but you got to give AB the title, it's really not even close.

Well, something sure did. Bat crazy and he still is. I wonder if him failing to get a WR job is gonna make him worse?

Hines is running away with the poll. Likability factor obviously.
My vote is the least popular there and likely here.

          John Stallworth.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

            It's scary, actually...
He didn't even have a full career in Pitt - was probably still in his prime when he was shipped off...

To me, that's the only thing that makes it close is the effort to compare 6-7 *amazing* years vs 10-12 *really good* years with say Hines...

AB's "amazing" years were so over-the-top incredible. He and Ben were just astonishing in what they did. I love Hines and like the poll, lean that way, but knowing there is really no comparison on who the better WR really was.

Hines made 1,000 receptions plus his blocking skills were on a whole other level so there really is no debate at this time.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

Seems the only thing we've agreed on so far is that it isn't swann. He has some of the best highlight plays but, meh...

If greatness is defined merely by measures like ability and statistics, it's probably nut-case AB

If we're also factoring in character, being a team player, and helping to win championships, there are clearly others who are ahead of Mr. Big Chest -- including Ward, Stallworth & Swann ... IMO.

BTW, Pickens feels snubbed that he didn't make it on any of y'all's lists

John Stallworth. 63 TDS in an era where we mainly ran the ball....AB had 74 as a Steeler in a pass happy league.

Am I the only one who occasionally gets a dipping a toe in the diva pond vibe from from Pickens sometimes?

                              He's a WR.

Ramon Foster was saying he thinks they are all like this because their success is almost entirely dependent on another player (the QB). Doesn't matter how well they run routes if they don't get the ball.
