Who was, Cooper? Also, blocking is about so much more than size, otherwise Zach Banner would be in the Hall of Fame.

Agreed, a blocking receiver is like playing special teams. It's more about attitude than size or talent.

that's not who this thread is about.

just another typical shoot your mouth off response by you before you even take the time to know what's being discussed.

Cooper is it. He destroyed people and I don?t think that Barry Foster breaking the franchise rushing record was a coincidence with the two big tight ends.

But Coopers highlights were blocks not catches.

To your point about size you have a point. But this kid shows it on tape at college. Pushes the sled like a lineman. And is WAY faster than even skinny rookie Banner.

HEIGHT is where the Banner comparison ends.

I don?t know if he will be a leading receiver as a tight end but I have no doubt he will excel as a blocker.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

                  TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

I will say his SPEED looks weird. Does not look that fast EVEN WHEN HE IS TIMING THE 40 and timed crazy at his size.

                    Anything but a smooth runner.

Those who think Washington will easily surpass Green, the OG, might be pretty disappointed.

                        Those of you?

                        Who are you talking about?

You do realize YOU ARE THE ONLY PERSON to have suggested anybody thinks Washington is destined to make us forget Green right?

You are arguing against a case NOBODY is actually making.

The upside is that if the best case against our FOURTH PICK is that he might not be the equal of OUR HIGHEST DRAFTED PLAYER AT THE POSITION EVER?

                        I like that pick.

Not mentioning Green at all is the same as arguing Washington will be better. All this talk of a "massive TE" but no mention of Green at all indicates yinzers are thinking Washington will be better. Let's see if he outproduces EG's #s before we anoint him the TE of greatness. Will Washington pull in over 60 catches a year?
