Personally I'd love to trade back a couple of spots If possible. I don't wanna go to far. But if we keep the pick (and I have a strong sense suggestion from someone close to the team that they will). These would be my top 5 targets in order

1) Brian Branch-S-Alabama
2) Joey Porter JR-CB-PSU
3) Michael Mayer-TE-ND/Darnell Washington-TE/Georgia
4) John Michael Schmitz-C-Minnesota
5) Adetomiwa Adebawore-EDGE-Northwestern

Who do you predict will be a better pro? Branch or Porter? Just wondering not busting your balls. I am not sure is why I ask. CB scares me. And Porter did not have the turn overs in college. And can Branch do much SS? Or just a slot guy back up free safety?
Or does the strong and free not matter as much with so many different formations the Steelers use? Guess some of the SS question matters if any of the ILB’s can cover.

Every team knows the Steelers probably wont' draft certain positions. How badly do the other teams want the player they covet?

I think Branch was the safer choice but both will be very good pro's. Porter being an outside CB fits our needs more. Especially if Peterson is gonna play a little Safety.
