    My first and only mock

I love what the Khan-Weidl duo is doing and being their first draft I think we can expect anything...

I'll still risk it... Let's go:

    17) Darnell Wright , Tackle (Let Okorafor and Morre batle for Left Tackle).
    32) Emmanuel Forbes, DB.
    49) Keeanu Benton, DT.
    80) Derick Hall, Edge.
    120) Luke Schoonmaker, TE.
    241) Tanner McKee, QB (we need somebody behid KP and Mitch).
    251) Alex Forsyth, C

I think that with these selections we improve positions of need (T, CB and NT) that can contribute immediately and also depth and future (Hall and Schoonmaker) and also projects (Mckee and Forsyth).

I could be wrong but I think that with the signings that have been made and with Mark Robinson as a reserve we are not going to choose any ILB.

    Just my two cents

I'm not sure they spend #17 on a Right Tackle. Can get good ones later. A Left tackle is a different discussion.

I agree with Oviedo if #17 is a tackle it must be a left tackle. We don't normally draft this high to get a legit left tackle.

Need more on offense. I know people are concerned with the D getting older but its 2023. We still need more weapons IMO.

I'm not 100% sure the old adage of LT over RT still exists.

After all, for all our opposition, TJ Watt vs the RT...Highsmith vs the LT...who is more valuable?

Not sure Dude. I reckon outside of the OL, with the Robinson addition & with Austin coming back essentially as a rookie WR this season...unless it's another TE, I don't see where the draft capital goes on Offensive weapons at this point.

Seems pretty solid to me- particularly the position values. No doubt draft day will leave us all with the WTF face though.

The LT vs RT thing is developing. RT are supposed to be bigger, more brutish, powerful for rush blocking. LTs are supposed to be more nimble, athletic, better pass blockers. Ours (Moore) is really neither.

Chadman, for me it is the most exciting draft in recent years. Anything can happen: move up to select Paris Johnson or Jalen Carter or Witherspoon, trade down in the first round or, more likely, with our 32nd pick (in exchange for even a first round by 2024), trade some player (like Dotson, Diontae Johnson)...

Not sure about they selecting a OT, I think this is the big question with our draft. I tend to think so because of the offer they made to Orlando Brown...

Probably, maybe they trade up to select Paris Johnson...

Except OT, I think we're pretty set on offense. Maybe a C or TE for depth from the fourth round.

I could be sold on us needing depth on RB, especially one with speed, like a 3rd down back. Warren is pretty fast, Najee is slow as hell, like 4.8 forty slow. We could use a spark plug RB to add some lightening to the show.

I still say LT for two reasons:

                          1) RT will typically have help from TE as needed.

                          2) LT still protects blind side of a right-handed QB. Offenses with a lefty view RT and LT differently. Offense still considers it more important to protect the blind side.

                            Then draft a better QB

Look at it like this. Most people in the world are right handed. Less people in the world are left handed. Some people are good with both hands and feet. Place this idea into a football/sports perspective. The strong side of a football formation is generally to the right because most people are right handed.

I am right handed. There are things that I do better with my left hand. Nadal one of the best tennis players is right handed but was trained to play tennis with his left hand.

I don't know if TJ is right or left handed. Sometimes you just get a person/player that succeeds regardless of the stats or odds. Sometimes players can be trained or developed over time to become better on the left side or right side.

I think GM's, coaches, ect take notice of these small things that fans don't think about? Maybe I am wrong?
