bucking the trend because we are so thin at the position
Given the depth in the draft, I'm almost more convinced they'll pick one in the 2nd at this point.

I think Brooks projects to more of a DE. Herbig I think is a little too light to play edge in a 3-4. He has the tools to be a high upside Mack LB

Herbig is the brother of the OG we signed, isn't he? They do like the family connections.

Why was Tomlin at the Iowa Pro Day? Other than Campbell & Riley, both more 2nd round types, I don't see why he made that a target. Do they rate Campbell higher?

Brooks looks more like our DE style, but the way we line up now, I suspect that's what they look for. They want the next Heyward, not Hampton.

Heard a stat today that Iowa ranks 7th in putting players in the pros.

they should be attending their pro day every year

                I can see that.

but if one of the top 3 corners
Are there I can see them drafting one at 17 too
then falling back to OT or other at 32.

its regarded as such a good class, I hope they double down.

Based on the OP summary I get the sense that the Steelers trade down in Rd 1 and then take OL. There really isn't one worthy at 1.17 if things go against the Steelers. (Belichick made a living trading down and picking up extra picks in deep classes.)

Need to see percentages. Could be impressive, could be similar to saying the Natural Law Party is the 7th biggest political party in the US, we should take their candidates seriously.

No doubt there is quality there- But if Tomlin visits actually coincide with 1st round selections....who is the potential target?

There is A LOT to like about Iowa. But as I said just above- if Tomlin visits are generally an indication of 1st round potential- who are the Iowa 1st round types?

For arguments sake....what if the team isn't happy with the play of Cole at C.

Could this explain the amount of interest in the IOL?

James Daniels, I assume, is still the starting OG. Seumalo would be the other starting OG, I imagine. It has to be Cole, right?

Now, I'm also going to assume the team will invest in Kenny Pickett in more ways than one- building the OL, giving him a WR corp, and getting the running game going.

Alot of these OG types we are bringing in are OG/OC types. Daniels is also discussed as a potential OC.

Could the Steelers double down on the OL and get a RT & C this year?

I think he was an OLB in college, but he was saying that he expects to move inside or "off the ball" and is looking forward to the challenge or something.

Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong player though.

                              This consensus says none of them;

I’ve also seen Campbell getting mocked in the first round lately
