Too much emphasis on Peterson "teaching" a prospect. I wouldn't put as much weight as these guys do. It "could" mean they plan on adding a CB early in the draft, but it's hardly a sure thing. Who "taught" Peterson how to play? No one? He's an exceptional physical talent who figured it out on his own. This entire concept may be just a guess. -

Go watch Troy Polomalu HOF speech where he gives props to Mike Logan by name for mentoring and teaching him.
If Mike Logan can mentor a HOFer, you best believe a HOFer can mentor a rookie.sigpic
In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

I think the "mentor" role mentioned for Peterson is code for "don't expect a CB at #17." I think the only DB we would select at #17 would be Brian Branch who is a hybrid who can play CB, S and as the slot CB (which we use a lot).
The need to mentor means we are picking a CB in Round 2 or 3"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"Comment
