Neverthess, I would suggest that nobody sees our line as so great it cannot use an infusion of talent.
My belief was that the left side of the Oline needed to be addressed in FA or the draft to bring in competition. The Steelers did that at the guard spot. Let's see if a quality LT becomes available in the draft/post draft FA period.

Players became available and this allowed the Steelers to address the interior of the Oline. They didn't have to give up any draft capital or over pay any players. At times it simply boils down to player availability in FA and the draft. The salary cap implications/ team building are also considerations.

I don't think anyone was ok with the Oline even though the group showed improvement as the season progressed.

The competition will be good for the group. The Steelers could trade someone too. Injuries will happen. Ect. Ect.

I'm pretty sure that we'll draft an OT on Day 1 or Day 2.

i still think OT is in play, but the guards are pretty solid at this point.

I also wouldn't be mad a John Michael Schmitz (center), but that's just me... the "2-deep" depth chart across the interior would be pretty solid.

I still think OT is in play at # 17.

                    I hope so

OL could become a big-time strength before long if we took one of the best tackles in the draft

Just catching up. Anyone know why Philly didn’t sign this guy?

                      Seems like a solid move.

These oline moves moves make no sense.
Just last week I was told that our front office(and several of our fans) didn’t feel oline was an area that needed to be a priority.
                        Weird.

I posted this first and then went back and read some responses. I see some of us have better memories than others.

How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

Maybe, but personally I was more
concerned with Dotson’s play. He seems to be the most inconsistent.

                          Good signings for depth/competition.

Eagles have some cap issues and a host of free agents they had to re-sign, including the deal they just made to keep Slay. I also think they're happy with Jurgens who will take over his spot. Word on the street is they never even talked to Seumalo, and it was also rumored that either he or Kelce would not be re-signed during the off-season.

He was good last season, and hopefully can stay healthy.

Agreed that Dotson was inconsistent... but, that's why he'd be a backup now. You can't have a "starter" at every backup position. Given that he did start 2 seasons, that's a solid backup.
