I think often the people who are getting "ridiculous amounts of rope" are the people that have already been written off.why are you trying to convince people when clearly they are fine with looking the other direction and treating that man like a kid on the short bus?
One thing I realized is adults will give certain individuals a ridiculous amount of rope. Like Zuckerberg when he went to Congress. They were impressed because he wore a suit and acted like he was still a college sophomore. Dude is a full grown adult. No one here needs pity or help when it comes to their actions.
We all only have so many ****s to give.Comment

I’m gonna either need to block him or just be done with this place.
I cannot believe I’ve let this silliness get my goat so badly. For years I’ve realized what a colossal waste of time and emotion this place is for me. You remember I left for a time, but eventually I missed this place and came back.
One reason why I took that bet is that I was not afraid at all to lose. I half wanted to be forced to leave if he showed up and was black.
Frankly, I’m finding this place less and less enjoyable and feel like an ever uglier side of me is showing.Last edited by Captain Lemming; 03-02-2023, 07:33 PM.sigpic
In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

I tend to think it ebbs and flows based on if we’re winning or not.
Back before XL in the Trib days, we had tons of negativity.
Then after XLIII, things were going positive and we were on a wave a bit.
Now we’ve gotten away from the confetti games and the negativity is thriving and it’s way more contagious that optimism. Misery loves company.
It’ll go back the other way soon enough when Kenny’s lifting #7 soon.
I get the cathartic nature of venting, but at a point like anything, too much of anything gets old fast.
It’s fine. We’re all wired different. And we notice different things because of the voices we allow in our heads.
If you’re generally a thankful person, you’re going notice the positives cause that the voice we’re reinforcing in our own minds.
If our internal voices are a negative influence, we’re gonna notice the things that reinforce that narrative. Because at the end of the day we all want to be right in our own way and have value. It’s human nature. And it’s hard to understand why others don’t see what we see. And it all goes back to the voices and the things we say to ourselves.
The thing is, all our narratives are real to us. And it’s hard to know when we’re annoying someone else cause we’re not annoying ourselves generally unless we have a split personality.
End of the day, I think most mean well. And we should try to enjoy other perspectives and allow room for those truths to work themselves out. We can’t change others. Only ourselves and if we encourage one another people will generally come around to bring rationale if given the space.
I enjoy it all cause it’s fun to see how people thing completely different than me and I’m always in awe how much people really believe the things they say and think.
im really in awe of everyone. Y’all are interesting and unique in your own ways. No one should let that bother them. We should just enjoy it. Makes life easier for sure.sigpicComment

man.. its a whole new team now that Kenny is the QB. Like you said, you can only complain for so long. We just got a rookie QB and folks are whining like he is at the end of his second contract.I tend to think it ebbs and flows based on if we’re winning or not.

Personally its an exciting time as a Steeler fan so I definitely respond aggressively to the negativity. At least give these young men a chance to fail before writing them offSteelers 27

Honestly, I feel like I should stop in the off season too.I’m gonna either need to block him or just be done with this place.

lmao at re-centering.
I had a nice week long vacation in December. We go to sit down for lunch and I’m right next to…. A Browns fan. Dude is decked out in Stains gear watching the game on his phone. I asked him what the score of the Steeler game is and he refuses to tell me. Says he will never help a Steeler fan.. lol.
Then a couple from Australia across the table asked why he was being so stank and he tells the history of the rivalry.
A thousand miles from home, outside the US and I end up next to a Browns fan.
so even on vacation it can be hard to recalibrate.Steelers 27
