HI Steel has used a fake name before. But he was terrible at it and logged into the wrong one. So we all made fun of him for a bit because it was so ridiculous because he was taking shots at other people for using sock puppet accounts while doing it himself.

I don't think that same guy would successfully have been doing the sock-puppet thing with a different account for 15 years or however long they've been on here (and on the Trib before that).

You have to be a little off to pull it off successfully. People usually forget and use a phrase or writing style that gives it away.

Joel, this is the first I've heard of this. Because Hawaain/Lemmings has been on ignore and his buddies too. I've backed away from convos with a certain few who are only here to disrupt and fight. I'm staying away from the booby traps that are constantly trying to goat non-Tomlin supporters into to get them suspended or banned. I only want to talk about football. It's negative energy and tiresome to me. Tomlin lovers constantly asking me to change my sig ; asking about my stance on Tomlin over & over again just to argue.

No one is changing the other's stance; TTTers are firm on their stance..Truthers are firm on their stance. Fine. Let that be and just talk about the other 99 percent of Steeler football like the draft, players developing, etc. etc.

I respect the TTTers stance on Tomlin; they have a right to have their opinion on him; But the posters who don't think that much of Tomlin should have the same rights. Why can't both sides just respect the others opinions and leave it at that? Time will tell who's right about Tomlin and who's wrong about Tomlin. Let's just talk other aspects of Steeler football.

Thanks for your reply. I did not know Hawaiian Steel used a fake name before. I also have not been here that long. Again I ask who are the mods and can they look up ip addresses? Someone can answer this. I want all posters warned not to use multiple names as it cheapens the board and can be used in way to flame another poster.

I think the standard has quietly/silently been lowered. Now a lot of members claim a 500 season is success. That wasn't the standard prior to 2008.

that is only considered success in special years...
Ben misses the season and you go with Duck and Mason? Success.
Ben retires and you're starting a rookie QB? Success.

Next year, .500 isn't good enough. 10 wins is the bar. Assuming a reasonably healthy team, 10 = par for the course.

Unfortunately, that's likely to make you a wildcard team and match up against a higher seed. Between that and Canada being the OC, I can't even throw a playoff win in there yet as the expectation...

It's a small "rebuild", trust the process.
2023 = make playoffs
2024 = contender

My understanding is that they can look up IP addresses. Even if they cannot, they know we are not the same person. Maniac foolishly gave you the names.

I agree with you on the duck season; and on last season as well considering it was the first without a legit franchise QB in over a decade.

But the years we were eliminated, and winning the division, that was always the fall back. And that wasn't good enough for me. With a decades worth of good to great teams, you would expect more than one AFC championship appearance..and it was a game hoody just flexed his playoff coaching prowess to us. Even thou we were supposedly the more talented team overall. Many, many of those seasons, we were the conference favorites starting the season. That's what I was referring to when I said that being 500 is the new " standard is the Standard". We get bounced by Tebow, Flacco, whoever and the fall back is, " well at least we had another winning record.".

Our history was forged by our playoff success; now when you bring up playoff success, the topic is ran away from and turned into, " We had another 500 regular season record".

My standards have not lowered one bit from prior to 2008; getting to the playoffs isn't something you run up the flag post. A bunch of teams do that ever year. I'm not saying I expect us to win a chip every year but I'm saying within a 13 year span, with good to great teams, yeah..I expect atleast a Super Bowl appearance. Numerous coaches have been fired for not taking advantage of that type of window. So that proves that those expectations are not unreasonable.

We transitioned from legend after legend (Ben, Troy, Harrison, Pouncey, Heath) not to mention Brown, Bell, Timmons, DeCastro, Tuitt, Shazier and a few other guys who made huge impacts but were gone sooner than expected for whatever reason. Right now, the franchise is on the upswing again.

Where you and I primarily disagree is this: I think the OC is the problem (and to an extent, some player personnel)... not Tomlin.

Yes, I remind you THE LAST GAME THE STEELERS PLAYED when he came here bashing Tomlin was the AFC championship game.

You can contact the moderators but from my experiences I can tell you that they are useless, and they won't do their job. I was banned for a month after I was stalked by a certain poster who kept making rude comments to me who I was trying to avoid. I reported this behavior to the moderators through the reporting icon and the next day I was banned for spamming the moderators. WTF!

I was also banned a week before Christmas when I made up a few threads during the Steelers game. Windy complained I was spamming the forums because I didn't post in the official game thread. So I got banned for a week. The following week Windy and a few other posters were creating threads during the game so I complained to the moderators and got banned again for "spamming the moderators". WTF?

In conclusion, the moderators don't apply to rules in a fair, logical or consistent way. They definitely don't follow the code of conduct rules at all, most especially ford fixer. That guy will lie right to your face and never do the right thing.
