I suggest people watch the last 6 or 7 games this year

I think you need to factor in the caliber of our opponents over that stretch

and if you watch the whole games, not just the highlights, you see an offense that, overall, is quite a bit closer to the bottom of the league than the top

    lots of work to do

at least it looks like we have movement in the right direction
There's nothing wrong with factoring the caliber of the opponent but they are still NFL teams and they were the ones on the schedule. Nearly all of them were also battling for their playoff lives at the time. The Steelers led the Bengals at halftime and lost by 7. They could have easily beaten the Ravens, if it wasn't for Trubisky's gift-giving and still only lost by 2. No matter how you slice it, dice it, and analyze it, it is unquestioned improvement across many areas from the first half of the season - on both sides of the ball.

I agree very much with your last two statements. There's a lot of work to do but at least it looks like there is momentum in the right direction.

We played nearly ALL tomato cans the last 7 games of the season; had we played the Bills or Eagles of the league, we would have been crushed by those teams just like we were before. Anyone thinking the results of the last 7 games were telling is either kidding themselves or delusional. The only teams left are the top scoring teams of the NFL - KC, Buff, Dallas, 9ers, Eagles. Any of those teams would have punked the shlt out of us. And how will next year be any different? Going from 18 ppg tp 20 ppg won't make a difference. We will still be coaching and play calling with a "wet our pants" mythology. That ain't cutting it.

During that 7-2 streak the Steelers beat ONE team with a winning record who was without their starting QB and it still took a KP last minute drive to win. It took KP to win another game in the last minute, etc.

This season is honestly the worst kind of finish in some ways, it gets fans like felt pumped up but the reality is the team isn't really progressing. It's Steelers purgatory the next chapter.
AND the Tomlin fans lobby for him for COTY for his incredible job of turning the season around.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?
