Ultimate Hate - A passing thought

Maybe this has been discussed on the board already.....but here goes.

**If Tom Brady decides to play another season, I think he'll stay in Tampa Bay.

However - I DO think Lamar Jackson will move out of Baltimore....and if he leaves.......with that Defense and Running Game -- Tom Brady could make the move to Baltimore for one last shot at a Super Bowl. I don't believe Baltimore has the WR's to tempt him enough....but I'm just saying it's a possibility.

Tom Brady leading the 2023 Ravens.....would actually take my "Hate" level for that team to a new, unimagined, height.

That's a terrible thought. Why'd you put that into the atmosphere? LOL

I guess in a way I'm like Dan Aykroyd from the original Ghostbusters....the idea came to me last night after a friend asked what I thought was next for Tom Brady.....and I told him I didn't have a good read on him....and then around 1:00 am.....the idea that Lamar Jackson dictates a lot of what the NFL looks like next year....especially our division.....and THEN.....

I'm hoping Tommy boy hangs them up. But if he comes to this division, then I can hope that TJ wraps tommy's leg behind his neck. hahahaha

I'd be fine with it, Brady at 45 or 46 isn't the Brady at 30. The Steelers will beat the Ravens with Lamar or Brady. The Ravens aren't the problem next year, they have to figure a way to compete with the Bengals for the foreseeable future. If Pickett makes a nice 2nd year leap, the Steelers will be competitive with the Bengals.

Yikes, hadn't thought of that but I don't think it happens. I think Brady will end up somewhere, I don't see him returning to Tampa.

Also, I think Jackson is crazy/dumb to leave Baltimore, he's not going to find a better offense that fits his style of play. But in a way it will be good for Baltimore if they can find a QB who is a better passer.

Not a fit and not a worry. Brady and that offense don't go together whatsoever. Plus, Brady is finally shot.

First, LJ will be with the Rats next year, even if they have to franchise tag him.

Second, we will not compete against the Bengals until we have their calibers WRs.

Chase and Higgins are quite the tandem.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

My gut is telling me that Lamar Jackson is looking for the most $$$ and that's it.

And we've seen this from players before where they really don't seem to care as much about winning and the talent around them as they do about making the most money.

Atlanta Falcons for instance have a LOT of Cap Space - A top tier WR and TE......just a thought.

@Chucktownsteeler - You're likely correct about locking him up with a Franchise Tag.....I'm just wondering if what Brock Purdy is doing with the 49ers doesn't have a lot of teams considering going with a similar system.

                  Meaning:

Amazing Defense (Baltimore is pretty good),
Big Running Game (They need some help there),
                  Solid Tight End (Got that)
and then a (Cheap) Game Managing QB......which under the right circumstances could be Tom Brady.

***But Baltimore does seem to identify as Lamar's team - so you're probably right.

Who is Brady throwing to in Baltimore?

If he can’t make it happen with Evans and company he damn sure isn’t going to do it in Baltimore.

I would expect to sweep Baltimore easily if old man Brady was the QB.

He won a Super Bowl with Edelman, Gronk, and LaFell......Andrews, Bateman and Duvernay aren't that far apart.

All of this is unlikely......and I'm not saying I'm necessarily concerned about Tom Brady joining the Ravens.....as much as I'm concerned what new level of hatred will transpire!

I hope they do franchise him. I'm pretty sure he'll ball out for 8-9 games and then have another 'injury' to preserve his body to cash in the following year.

you can tag him , but doesn't mean he has to sign.

3rd year in a row now he finishes the season injured. i think there's no way he plays unless he has a long term deal in place

I think TB may have finally aged out.

I also think LJ will get tagged if they don't get a deal done... But maybe just to trade him?

That thought sent shivers down my spine. Brady would sign for cheap giving the Ravens a lot more cap space to maneuver.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***
